Wang Zhizhi is a Chinese former professional basketball player who was the head coach of the Bayi Rockets, the team with which he spent his domestic career in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He also played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Miami Heat, becoming China's first player to compete in the NBA.

The Bayi Rockets was a professional basketball team based in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China, which played in the South Division of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Guangdong Hongyuan Southern Tigers or Guangdong Southern Tigers, also known as Guangdong Dongguan Bank for sponsorship reasons, are a Chinese professional basketball team owned by the Guangdong Winnerway (Hongyuan) Group. The team is one of the best-performing teams in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The Tigers have won eleven CBA titles, more than any other team in the league. They are also the only team to have qualified for the CBA playoffs in every season since the league launched in 1995. The team plays its home games in Dongguan, Guangdong. Occasionally, for marketing purposes, the team plays some of its home games in Zhongshan, Zhuhai, and other cities in the Pearl River Delta.

Zhu Fangyu is a former professional Chinese basketball player who spent his entire career with the Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He was nicknamed the "Rain of Three-Pointers", due to his ability to sink three-pointers at crucial moments during games. Standing 2.01 meters (6'7") tall, and weighing 104 kilograms, he played the small forward position.
Liu Yudong, is a retired Chinese professional basketball player who last played for the Fujian Xunxing club in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). At 2.00 m and 243 lbs. (110 kg), he played at the power forward position. In 1990, he was chosen as one of China's 50 all-time greatest basketball players. He held the CBA record for most career points scored, until it was broken by Zhu Fangyu, on 1/1/2012. He was the CBA Regular Season MVP in 2002, and the CBA League MVP in 2002 and 2003, and is known as one of the greatest Chinese players of all-time.
Sun Jun is a retired Chinese professional basketball player who later served as a coach and general manager for the Jilin Northeast Tigers, as well as an assistant basketball coach with the Chinese national team. Standing 1.98 meters (6'6") tall, he played at the small forward position.
The 2012 CBA Playoffs is the postseason for the Chinese Basketball Association's 2011–12 season. The playoffs started on February 22, 2012, and ended on March 30, 2012. Beijing Ducks defeated Guangdong Southern Tigers to win their first CBA championship. It was broadcast on CCTV-5 and many local channels in China. Eight teams qualified for the playoffs, all seeded 1 to 8 in a tournament bracket, with first and second round in a best-of-five format, and a final in a best-of-seven format.
Errick "E" Lane McCollum II is an American professional basketball player for Pınar Karşıyaka of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL) and the Basketball Champions League (BCL). He played college basketball for Goshen. At a height of 1.88 m (6'2"), he plays at both the point guard and shooting guard positions.
The 2014–15 CBA season was the 20th Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) season. The Jiangsu Tongxi Monkey Kings and Chongqing Fly Dragons were "promoted" to the CBA, becoming the league's 19th and 20th teams. Two clubs also altered or changed their mascots, with the Foshan Dralions opting to be called the Foshan Long-Lions in English, while the Shandong Gold Lions became the Shandong Golden Stars.
The 2015–16 CBA season was the 21st season of the Chinese Basketball Association. The regular season began on Saturday, October 31, 2015, with the Beijing Ducks hosting the Xinjiang Flying Tigers. The regular season ended on Friday, February 5, 2016, and the playoffs began on Monday, February 15, 2016.
Li Chunjiang is a Chinese basketball coach and former player. He was the member of national team and won titles at 1990 Asian Games and the 1991 ABC Championship. In the following year, Li along with the national team competed in the men's tournament at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Three years after announcing his retirement from professional basketball in 1998, he has since launched a distinguished coaching career. He received a five-year coaching ban in 2023 as a result of his involvement in alleged match-fixing during the 2023 CBA playoffs.
The 2018–19 CBA season was the 24th season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). In this campaign, the regular season expands from 38 games to 46 games, while the playoffs expand from 10 teams to 12 teams.
The 2019–20 CBA season was the 25th season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The regular season began on 1 November 2019 with the Guangdong Southern Tigers hosting the Liaoning Flying Leopards.
