The Chinese Taipei women's national field hockey team represents Taiwan in women's international field hockey competitions and is controlled by the Chinese Taipei Hockey Association, the governing body for field hockey in Taiwan. [2]
Taiwan participated twice in the Asian Games and thrice in the Asia Cup. [3]
The England women's national field hockey team has won silver three times at the Commonwealth Games. England have also won the 2006 Women's Field Hockey World Cup Qualifier and the 2002 Champions Challenge.
The Japan men's national field hockey team represents Japan in men's international field hockey and is operated by the Japan Hockey Association. As of January 2019, they are ranked 18th in the world.
The United States women's national field hockey team, represents the United States in international field hockey. The team is currently coached by Anthony Farry. It made its first international appearance in 1920 when a touring team visited England, coached by Constance M.K. Applebee. The team made several international appearances in the early 20th century, leading to the United States hosting the eighth International Federation of Women's Hockey Associations Tournament in 1963. Once the IFWHA merged with its counterpart on the men's side, the United States' first appearance at an FIH-sanctioned tournament was the 1983 Women's Hockey World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the Americans ended up in sixth place. They have won bronze at the Los Angeles 1984 Summer Olympics and bronze at the 1994 World Cup.
The New Zealand women's national field hockey team is also known as the Black Sticks Women. The team's best performances include a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, a third placing at the 2011 Champions Trophy, and fourth placings at the 1986 World Cup, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. As of December 2017, the team ranks fourth on the International Hockey Federation (FIH) world rankings.
In Taiwan, some of the most prominent sports include badminton, baseball, basketball, football, softball, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball. Martial arts such as t'ai chi ch'uan and taekwondo are also practiced by many people. International-known athletes include Tai Tzu-ying, Kuo Hsing-chun, Yu Chang, Chien-Ming Wang, Lin Yun-ju, Yang Chuan-kwang, Chou Tien-chen, Hsieh Su-wei, and Yani Tseng among others.

The Indian women's national field hockey team represents India in international field hockey, and is governed by Hockey India. Nabhvarna are currently ranked 6th in the FIH World Rankings, and are ranked as the best team in Asia. They have won the gold medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and 1982 Asian Games. They have also won the Women's Asia Cup twice, i.e. in 2004 and 2017. They also won the Asian Champions Trophy in 2016. India at the 2020 Summer Olympics, for the first time ever, reached the semi-final in the Women's Hockey Olympic event but failed to bag any medal after they lost to Argentina in the semifinal and then to Great Britain in Bronze medal match.

The China men's national field hockey team represents the China in international field hockey matches and tournaments.
The China women's national field hockey team represents the People's Republic of China. The team won silver at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, as well as bronze at the 2002 Hockey World Cup in Perth, Australia. Also, the team won the 2002 Hockey Champions Trophy and finished second in 2004 and 2006.
The Asian Hockey Federation is the governing body for the sport of field hockey in Asia. It now has 31 member associations. It is affiliated to the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The current president is Fumio Ogura and the patron is Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
The Malaysia women's national field hockey team represents Malaysia in international field hockey competitions. As of Jan 2017, the team was ranked 21st in the FIH World Rankings. The team is part of the Asian Hockey Federation. They recently participated in the inaugural International Super Series in Perth, playing against India and Australia in a modified 9-a-side format.
The Chinese Taipei women's national ice hockey team is the ice hockey team representing Taiwan internationally in women's competition. The team is overseen by the Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The team was formed in 2014 and competed in the IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia Division I tournament, which it has won on two occasions, currently competes in IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championships Division 2B.
The Sri Lanka national field hockey team represents Sri Lanka in international field hockey competitions. It is ranked as the third best nation in the South Asian region behind India, Pakistan and ranked 34 in the world.
Chinese Taipei competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. At the last Games in Incheon, the country bagged a total 51 medals, including 10 gold, 18 silver, and 23 bronze. This time, Chinese Taipei is set to send a 738-strong team to compete in 36 of 40 sporting events, including 588 athletes.
The Pakistan women's national field hockey team represents Pakistan in international field hockey competitions, and is governed by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF). The first women's national championships were held in Lahore in 1976. It took another seven years (1983) before the national team played two international matches, against Ireland at Karachi and Lahore.
