Christopher Doyle (born 17 February 1995) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Marine.

Career

Doyle spent time in the Everton Academy from the age of 10 to 14 before joining Dickie Danson's youth setup at Morecambe.

Morecambe

He was awarded a professional contract a year early at the age of 17 at the start of the 2012–13 season. He made his first team debut in the club's 3–0 win against Rochdale coming on as a late substitute. Whilst at the club he joined Chorley on loan until the end of the 2014–15 season scoring five times in 26 appearances and reaching the Conference North play-off final. He signed an extended 12-month contract with the club at start of 2015–16 season. He was released by Morecambe in May 2016. [3]

Non-league career

Doyle joined Southport in August 2016. [4] He then joined Marine in July 2018. [5] In August 2019 he joined FC United of Manchester. [6] On 25 June 2021, Southport Football Club announced Doyle was returning to the club on initial one year contract, with an option for a further year. [7] He returned to Marine in the summer of 2023. [8]

Education

Doyle attended Sacred Heart Catholic College situated in Crosby, Liverpool. [9]

The 2012–13 Rochdale A.F.C. season was the 92nd edition of competitive football for Rochdale A.F.C., a professional English football club based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Rochdale return to Football League Two for 2012–13 following a two-season stint in League One which ended with a last-place finish in 2011–12. Rochdale began their 2012–13 Football League Two season with a 0–0 draw against Northampton. They entered into three cup competitions in the first round due to the league table they are in. John Coleman's and Jimmy Bell's contracts were terminated by Rochdale on 21 January 2013 following a poor run in form.

The 2015–16 season was Blackpool's 107th season in the Football League, and their first season back in League One following relegation from the 2014–15 Football League Championship. Along with competing in League One, the club also participated in the FA Cup, League Cup and Football League Trophy. The season covered the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.
