Chris Fritz was a co-founder of the Eagle Pro Box Lacrosse League (now called the National Lacrosse League) on May 13, 1987.

National Lacrosse League semi-professional indoor lacrosse league

The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. Headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, the NLL currently has thirteen teams: eight in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the NHL and NBA. Unlike other box lacrosse leagues which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the National Lacrosse League Cup. The NLL has averaged between 9,800 and 10,700 spectators per game each year since 2004.

Fritz was the league's first President. In June 2005, it was announced that Chris would be inducted into the National Lacrosse League Hall of Fame along with Russ Cline, Paul Gait, Gary Gait and Les Bartley. [1] The induction happened at the 2006 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game in Toronto.

The National Lacrosse League Hall of Fame was established on June 16, 2005. The National Lacrosse League (NLL) has 5 teams in the United States and 4 in Canada. The NLL's board of governors will vote in the hall of fame members based on the individual’s record, ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character and contributions to the team or teams that individual was affiliated with or the league. The league will also have contributions of journalists and broadcasters inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Russ Cline was a co-founder of the Eagle Pro Box Lacrosse League on March 13, 1986. Russ was President/Owner of the Philadelphia Wings organization. They actually Operated as The Major Indoor Lacrosse League on all their Programs and Advertising.

Paul Gait is widely regarded as one of the best lacrosse players of all time and is the current Vice President of the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League. Gait, along with his twin brother Gary Gait, had outstanding playing careers at Syracuse University, in the National Lacrosse League, Major League Lacrosse, the Western Lacrosse Association, and at the international level for Canada.

Fritz is Co-Owner and Executive Vice President of the Philadelphia Wings organization. [2]

The Philadelphia Wings were a member of the National Lacrosse League, a professional box lacrosse league in North America starting in 1987. They played at the Spectrum (1987–96) and then at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Fritz spent much of his career as a top concert promoter in the midwest, particularly the Kansas City market.

Dallas Eliuk former lacrosse player

Dallas Eliuk is a former goaltender and assistant coach in the National Lacrosse League. Prior to starting his coaching career for the Colorado Mammoth in 2014, Eliuk was a coach with the Portland LumberJax in the 2009 season, and played 15 seasons for the Philadelphia Wings before being traded to the LumberJax, where he played for three seasons. Eliuk won four championships with the Wings, two championship MVP awards, was named to the All-Pro team nine times, and retired as the league's all-time leader in saves. Because of his success in Philadelphia, his longevity, and his unparalleled acrobatic athleticism, he is considered a legend in indoor lacrosse, and widely regarded as the best goalie to ever to play the game.

Bradley 'Brad' A. Kotz was a four-time All-American NCAA lacrosse player at Syracuse University from 1982 to 1985.

The Tom Borrelli Award is presented by the National Lacrosse League to the league's "Media Person of the Year". The award was originally awarded to the Writer of the Year, but "was changed to Media Person of the Year in 2011 to allow for a wider range of media members to be considered for the award, including broadcasters."

Chris Sanderson was a lacrosse coach and member of the Canadian team defending their world championship.. Sanderson was an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League from 2005 to 2007 season. Sanderson played for parts of five seasons as a goaltender.

Athan Iannucci lacrosse player

Athan Iannucci is a professional lacrosse player. He played collegiate lacrosse at Hofstra University. Iannucci plays professional lacrosse for the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. He was a member of the now defunct St. Regis Indians of the Ontario Lacrosse Association's Senior-A Major Series Lacrosse. He plays in the summer months for the WLA Langley Thunder.

Tony Resch is a retired lacrosse player, and current field and box lacrosse head coach. He is the former head coach of the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League from 1994 to 2001, and led the Wings to four Championships. Resch was named to the NLL Hall of Fame in 2008. Resch returned to coaching as the head coach of the Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse. Resch graduated from Yale University, where he was a two-time All-American and three-time All-Ivy League player.

The 2008 National Lacrosse League season, the 22nd in the history of the NLL, began on December 29, 2007 and concluded with the Buffalo Bandits winning the championship game over the Portland LumberJax on May 17, 2008.

US Lacrosse Hall of Fame 2016

Lacrosse has been played in Pennsylvania since the 19th century. There are many respected amateur programs at the club, college, and high school level, as well as several respected past and present professional teams in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Major League Lacrosse (MLL).

Penn Quakers mens lacrosse

The Penn Quakers men's lacrosse team represents the University of Pennsylvania in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse. Penn competes as a member of the Ivy League and plays its home games at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
