Chris Galvin (born c. 1958) [1] is an English chef whose career has spanned over thirty years working in restaurants and hotels in both the United Kingdom and the United States. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Galvin and his younger brother Jeff grew up in Brentwood, Essex. Their mother worked as a pot washer in a local restaurant. [1]
Originally inspired by the cooking of his grandmother, [3] Galvin started his career in a small neighbourhood restaurant as a pot washer for Antony Worrall Thompson, [1] before taking up a position as a commis chef at the Ritz hotel in London under the direction of Michael Quinn. [1] Galvin was then recruited by chef Paul Gayler to join the kitchen team at restaurant Inigo Jones. Gayler also subsequently recruited Galvin to join the kitchen team at the Lanesborough hotel where he was appointed as Executive Sous Chef. [2]
Galvin teamed up again with Worrall Thompson in New York City as Head Chef at Ménage à Trois. [1] before returning to the UK in 1997 to join Conran Restaurants where he worked with Terence Conran for 10 years; opening restaurants Mezzo, Bluebird and as co-founder of Almeida. [2] The launch of Orrery [1] [5] where he worked for many years, saw him achieve his first Michelin star in 2000. [2] In 2003 Galvin was appointed by Jeremy King and Chris Corbin to open the Wolseley restaurant. [1] [5]
In 2005 Galvin and brother Jeff Galvin opened their first solo venture - Galvin Bistrot de Luxe in Baker Street. [1] [5] [6] [7] The restaurant was recognised as the Best French Restaurant for two years running and Best Wine list in 2009. [1] [2]
In May 2006, the brothers launched Galvin at Windows, on the 28th floor of the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, with André Garrett (ex- Orrery) as their Head Chef. [5] In 2010 Galvin at Windows gained its first Michelin star. [2] In November 2009 the Galvin brothers opened their first restaurants in the City of London; La Chapelle and Café à Vin, which has since been rebranded as Galvin Bistrot & Bar, a French bistro in London's Spitalfields. [2] In 2012 the Galvin brothers opened their first venture outside London; The Pompadour by Galvin and Galvin Brasserie de Luxe in Edinburgh located in the newly refurbished Caledonian, a Waldorf Astoria hotel on Princes Street. Conrad Gallagher is an Irish-born chef/restaurateur from Letterkenny, County Donegal, based in Dubai since 2016. He was the youngest chef ever awarded a Michelin star at the time, for Peacock Alley in Dublin, at the age of 26 in 1998. In a career that has attracted both accolades and controversy, Gallagher has owned restaurants in Dublin, New York, London, Las Vegas and Cape Town, and has featured in two reality television cooking series. He opened restaurant consultancy Food Concepts 360 in 2018. Gallagher also owns chef recruitment agency The Chefs Connection and opened The Chefs Playground in Johannesburg, South Africa, in April 2020 as a culinary training centre and specialist shop for chefs’ apparel and equipment. In February 2021, Gallagher opened "Off the Menu Food Emporium", a delicatessen, coffee and wine shop serving tapas-style meals, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He also opened Bistro Vin de Boeuf, in St Francis Bay.

A protégée of Gordon Ramsay who became well known by her appearances on British television, she was Chef-Patron at Angela Hartnett at The Connaught in London. Currently, she is Chef-Patron for Murano in Mayfair, Café Murano in St James's & Covent Garden and Cucina Angelina in Courchevel (France).
Sixteen was an American restaurant on the sixteenth floor of the Trump International Hotel and Tower in the Near North Side community area of Chicago. It was one of three food and dining options in the hotel's room service offering. Sixteen opened in early February 2008, and an adjoining outdoor patio terrace, named The Terrace at T, opened on June 25, 2009 following the completion of the hotel's construction.

Until December 2016, he was the head chef of Koffmann's at The Berkeley hotel in Knightsbridge, London.

The Restaurant Marco Pierre White, also known as The Restaurant, Restaurant Marco Pierre White and later Oak Room Marco Pierre White, was a restaurant run by chef proprietor Marco Pierre White. The Restaurant was opened at the Hyde Park Hotel, London, on 14 September 1993, after White left his previous restaurant, Harveys. Following the move, the kitchen staff was more than doubled in number, and White used Pierre Koffmann's La Tante Claire as a template to pursue his third Michelin star. This was awarded in the 1995 Michelin guide. White then moved the restaurant to the Le Méridien Piccadilly Hotel, London, in 1997, taking on the listed Oak Room as the main dining room. He sought a further rating of five red forks and spoons in the guide, to gain the highest possible rating for the restaurant. It gained this award in the following guide.
Érick Jacquin is a French chef, naturalized Brazilian, who works in Latin America. He became better known after joining the talent show MasterChef, broadcast in Brazil by Band and Discovery Home & Health. The chef also presents the program "Pesadelo na Cozinha", broadcast by Band, which aims to help restaurants on the verge of bankruptcy to rise. Since 2019, he started publishing videos on his YouTube channel, where he presents the preparation of recipes in the kitchen of his restaurant Président, with the participation of his employees. On October 8, 2020, he scheduled a debut on the band of the Minha Renda program, always on Thursdays, at 10:45 pm.
Tom Aikens, also named Tom Aitkens, is an English Michelin-starred chef. Aikens briefly worked for chefs in London and Paris restaurants. Under his tenure from 1996 to 1999 as head chef and then chef patron, Pied à Terre earned its two Michelin stars in January 1997.
