Galvin at Windows is a restaurant [1] located on the top floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane restaurant. Launched in May 2006 by Chef Patron Chris Galvin as the second restaurant from the Galvin Brothers, the restaurant was awarded its Michelin Star in 2007 and maintained it until 2020 when they lost the single star. As a Michelin-rated restaurant, it offered seasonally inspired modern French haute cuisine with regularly changing menus which took in a wide range on influences, not least Head Chef Joo Won's Korean heritage, while retaining its focus on classical French techniques. It also offers traditional Sunday lunches and hosts regular wine dinners and tastings which draw on global cuisines and bring experts in the field to the restaurant on a regular basis.
The senior team at Galvin at Windows remained consistent from launch to December 2019, a remarkable feat for a London restaurant. Original General Manager Fred Sirieix - who is also a writer, broadcaster and charity activist - left in December 2019. [4]
The bar at Galvin at Windows offers a wide range of premium wines, spirits and classic cocktails while also having a seasonally changing menu of special drinks and a light, more relaxed food menu.
The restaurant is known for its panoramic views onto Hyde Park facing west and across central London to the north and south, while the bar looks across central London to the north, east and south.[ citation needed ]
London Hilton on Park Lane announced in April 2024 that Galvin at Windows will be closing later that month. [5]

The Restaurant Marco Pierre White, also known as The Restaurant, Restaurant Marco Pierre White and later Oak Room Marco Pierre White, was a restaurant run by chef proprietor Marco Pierre White. The Restaurant was opened at the Hyde Park Hotel, London, on 14 September 1993, after White left his previous restaurant, Harveys. Following the move, the kitchen staff was more than doubled in number, and White used Pierre Koffmann's La Tante Claire as a template to pursue his third Michelin star. This was awarded in the 1995 Michelin guide. White then moved the restaurant to the Le Méridien Piccadilly Hotel, London, in 1997, taking on the listed Oak Room as the main dining room. He sought a further rating of five red forks and spoons in the guide, to gain the highest possible rating for the restaurant. It gained this award in the following guide.
Fred Sirieix is a French maître d'hôtel best known for appearing on Channel 4's First Dates, and BBC Two's Million Pound Menu. Sirieix grew up in Limoges, France and trained to work in front of house in a Michelin-starred restaurant in France before working at La Tante Claire in London. Until 2019, he was the general manager of Michelin-starred restaurant Galvin at Windows at the London Hilton.
The NoMad was an integrated hotel and restaurant owned by the Sydell Group and located in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The restaurant of the same name was conceived by chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara of nearby Eleven Madison Park.
