Chris Morgan is an American football coach and former player who is currently the offensive run game coordinator and offensive line coach for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League.

College career

After graduating from Killeen High School in Killeen, Texas, Morgan played college football at University of Colorado from 1995 to 1999, where he played as an offensive lineman. [1] Morgan later received his master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Idaho.

Coaching career

Morgan first coached as an assistant to the football team at Copperas Cove High School [2] before becoming a graduate assistant for Idaho in 2002.

Starting in 2004, Morgan coached a plethora of positions, including offensive coordinator and special teams coordinator at Westfield High School, where he would coach until 2008. [3]

Morgan received his first NFL coaching job in 2009 when he was hired as the assistant offensive line coach for the Oakland Raiders.

Following the 2010 season, Morgan left the Raiders and was hired as the assistant offensive line coach by the Washington Redskins, which he held from 2011 to 2013. [4] In 2014, Morgan joined the Seattle Seahawks in the same capacity. [5]

After the 2014 season, Morgan followed former Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn to the Atlanta Falcons, where Morgan was hired as the offensive line coach and stayed there until 2020. [6] [7]

Following Quinn's firing by the Falcons, Morgan was hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers and became their assistant offensive line coach in 2021. [8]

Morgan became the offensive line coach again in 2022 when he was hired by the Chicago Bears in that capacity. [9] In 2024, Morgan also assumed the role as the offensive run game coordinator for the Bears. [10]

Quinn later coached defensive lines in college prior to joining the NFL in 2001. He was the defensive coordinator of the Legion of Boom-era Seattle Seahawks that appeared in two consecutive Super Bowls, winning XLVIII.

Justin Outten is an American football coach who is the tight ends coach for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). The 2024 season will be the Los Angeles Rams' upcoming 87th in the National Football League, their 88th overall, their 58th in the Greater Los Angeles Area, the fifth playing their home games at SoFi Stadium and their eighth under head coach Sean McVay. This will be their first season since 2013 without Aaron Donald, as he retired on March 15. The Rams will be seeking to improve on their 10–7 record and to advance in the playoffs after being defeated in the Wild Card Round in 2023. Also, the Rams will move their team training facility from Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks to the Kroenke Warner Center complex in Woodland Hills.
