Iwo is a city in Osun State,Nigeria. The Iwo people,like all other people of the Yoruba kingdom,are said to have originated from Ile-Ife,where they migrated sometimes in the 11th century according to Alademomi kenyon and Prince Adelegan Adegbola (2009). The only predicted land with the symbol of the parrots is the Iwo kingdom. The city was formerly part of old Oyo state and was later separated and became one of the major townships in Osun State,Nigeria.

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is a federal university in Ile-Ife,Osun State,Nigeria. The university was founded in 1961 and classes commenced in October 1962 as the University of Ife by the regional government of Western Nigeria,which was led by Samuel Ladoke Akintola. It was renamed "Obafemi Awolowo University" on 12 May 1987,so by the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida led military administration,in honour of Obafemi Awolowo (1909–1987),the first premier of the Western Region of Nigeria,who initially thought of the idea of establishing the university.

Odigha's focus was on the protection of the Cross River rainforest and on sustainable development for rainforest communities which began since 1994.
Ipetumodu () is a city in Osun State,in the southwestern part of Nigeria. It is the headquarters of the Ife North local government area. The city is under the leadership of traditional ruler with the title of Apetumodu,which means "one who killed an antelope for sacrificial purposes for Odu".
University of Cross River State also known as UNICROSS is a state-owned tertiary institution with four campuses spread across four Local Government Areas of the state. The University was formerly known as the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH). It was renamed in February of 2021 by a bill passed at Cross River State House of Assembly which was then approved by the former Governor of the State,Benedict Ayade. The change of the tertiary institution's name was to enable the varsity function as a conventional University,which provides the opportunity to offer more professional courses rather focusing on tech-related courses. The present Vice Chancellor of the institution is Prof. DAVID ABUA OGAR.

She is the first female President of the Nigerian Academy of Science.
Agbokim waterfalls are situated in the Etung local government area of Cross River State in the South-South region of Nigeria,very close to its border with Cameroon. The waterfalls are about 25 km (16 mi) from Ikom and 240 km (150 mi) from Calabar.
Cross River Central senatorial district in Cross River State covers six local governments which include Abi,Yakurr,Obubra,Ikom,Etung and Boki. The current representative of Cross River Central is Senator Eteng Jonah Williams of the All Progressives Congress(APC).
