Coached by Shelley Nitschke and captained by Sophie Devine,the Scorchers entered WBBL|08 as defending champions after claiming their maiden title in WBBL|07. They finished the regular season in fifth position and consequently failed to qualify for the finals.
Cooper Connolly is an Australian cricketer. He is a left-handed batter and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler,who plays for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League.
