Christopher Patrick Stolle (born April 1,1958) is a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing 83rd district,which includes portions of the cities of Virginia Beach and Norfolk. A Republican,he first won election in 2009 by defeating Democratic incumbent Joseph Bouchard by an eighteen-point margin. He took the oath of office on January 13,2010 in Richmond,Virginia. [1] [2] Del. Stolle was re-elected on Nov. 9,2011,securing almost 97% of all votes. Del. Stolle is an OB/GYN and Vice President of Medical Affairs at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He is the brother of Virginia Beach Sheriff and former State Senator Ken Stolle and state senator Siobhan Dunnavant. He lost re-election to Democrat Nancy Guy in 2019.

He represented the 91st district on the Virginia Peninsula,made up of the city of Poquoson plus parts of York County and the city of Hampton. He resigned his seat on December 31,2010 citing health problems.

The 2021 Virginia attorney general election was held on November 2,2021,to elect the next attorney general of Virginia. Democratic Attorney General Mark Herring attempted to win a third term. Herring initially planned to run for governor,but decided to run for re-election. Herring faced Republican nominee Jason Miyares in the general election. Herring conceded defeat at 5:02 PM EST the following day,November 3. Miyares became the first Cuban-American and Hispanic to be elected to statewide office in Virginia. Miyares was later sworn in on January 15,2022.
The Virginia Beach mayoral election of 2020 took place on November 3,2020. Voters elected the next Mayor of Virginia Beach,which has a council-manager system of government. The mayor presides over city council meetings and serves as the ceremonial head and spokesperson of the city. The mayor is elected to a four-year term through direct election and the office has no term limits. The mayoral election occurred simultaneously with the election of four seats on the city council. These elections were nonpartisan,as are all municipal elections in Virginia Beach.
The 2020 elections for members of the Virginia Beach City Council were held on November 3,2020. Five seats on the council,including the Mayor of Virginia Beach in the 2020 Virginia Beach mayoral election,were up for election in this cycle. While officially nonpartisan,most of the candidates were affiliated with and endorsed by various political parties.
The 2022 West Virginia House of Delegates election was held on November 8,2022,electing all 100 members of the chamber. This coincided with the election of 17 of West Virginia's 34 state senators,and the election of West Virginia's two U.S. representatives. Primary elections were held on May 10,2022. Due to redistricting,this was the first House of Delegates election in which all members are elected from single member districts,with West Virginia following a trend of states phasing out multi-member districts in recent decades.
The 2023 Virginia's 4th congressional district special election is a special election to the United States House of Representatives that will be held to fill Virginia's 4th congressional district for the remainder of the 118th United States Congress. The seat became vacant after incumbent Democratic representative Donald McEachin died on November 28,2022,of colorectal cancer.
