Christopher Wallace (born November 4, 1975) is an American football quarterback for the Atlanta Havoc of the American Arena League (AAL). He played as a quarterback for the University of Toledo. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Orlando Predators in 2001.

Early life

Wallace attended South High School in Springfield, Ohio. [1]

College career

Wallace attended the University of Toledo after his graduation from high school. At the time of his graduation, Wallace was the only Rocket to have thrown five touchdowns in a game, achieving the feat twice. His 27 touchdowns in 1997 were a school record for a single season until they were broken by Bruce Gradkowski in 2003. He currently sits at sixth all time in Toledo history for passing yards in a career. [2]

Professional career

Since commencing his professional career, Wallace has played for a number of indoor football teams. On March 24, 2002, Wallace was placed on injured reserve by the Orlando Predators. [4] He spent eight seasons with the Florida Firecats of the af2 and was that league's all-time leader in passing yardage. [5] In 2011, he was briefly the starting quarterback of the Arena Football League's New Orleans Voodoo, starting two games and winning one; [6] [7] later in the same season he started for the Pittsburgh Power. [8] He joined the Tarpons in 2012 and completed 157 passes on 272 attempts for 2,091 yards and 63 touchdowns, leading the team to a conference title and Ultimate Bowl II. [9] [10] In 2013, Wallace lead the Tarpons to an Ultimate Bowl III victory over the Corpus Christi Fury. In March, 2014, Wallace came back to playing football when he signed with the Marion Blue Racers. [11] Wallace returned to the Tarpons in 2015. [12]

Coaching career

In June, 2013, Wallace was named the first head coach of the expansion Columbus Beast of the Xtreme Indoor Football League, [13] but when the Beast owner moved his other franchise (the Marion Blue Racers) to the Continental Indoor Football League, it was announced that Wallace was to be the Head Coach for the Blue Racers. However, Wallace left the Blue Racers to pursue his teaching career. [11]

Raymond 'Ray' Philyaw is a former arena football quarterback who was most recently the offensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Sharks of the Arena Football League (AFL). He also played for the Cleveland Gladiators, Chicago Rush, Kansas City Brigade, Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings and the Albany/Indiana Firebirds, leading the former to the American Conference championship game in 2004 and 2005. The Cincinnati Commandos were a professional indoor football team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The team suspended operations for the 2013 season, with hope of returning in 2014. They began play in 2010 as an expansion team in the Continental Indoor Football League before moving to the United Indoor Football League in 2012. The Commandos then left the UIFL after winning Ultimate Bowl II and re-joined the CIFL, but never took the field after its announcement. The Commandos were the fifth arena or indoor football in Cincinnati, after the Cincinnati Rockers, Cincinnati Swarm, Cincinnati Marshals, and Cincinnati Jungle Kats. Christopher Dixon II is a former professional indoor football quarterback who currently serves as the head coach for Cactus Shadows High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. He ended his long playing career with a stint for the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League (AFL) before returning to the Sioux Falls Storm near the end of their 2019 season. Dixon attended Contra Costa College for two years before attending Humboldt State University, where he was an all-conference player.

Adam Kennedy is an American football quarterback who is a free agent. He was invited to mini-camp with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He played college football at Arkansas State University after transferring out of Utah State University and San Joaquin Delta College.

Brian Jones is a former American football quarterback who played three seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the Las Vegas Gladiators, Arizona Rattlers and Kansas City Command. He played college football at the University of Toledo, after a record setting career at Shasta College. Robert Kent is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Jackson State. He has also been a member of the Tennessee Titans, Montreal Alouettes, Birmingham/Alabama Steeldogs, Lubbock Renegades, Toronto Argonauts, Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz, Abilene Ruff Riders, Houston Stallions, Corpus Christi Fury, San Antonio Talons, St. Louis Attack, Texas Revolution, Dallas Marshals, Monterrey Steel, Massachusetts Pirates, and Duke City Gladiators. He also was the head coach of the Duke City Gladiators in the Indoor Football League (IFL) for the remainder of the 2021 season.

The 2013 Ultimate Indoor Football League season was the third season of the league. The league contracted down to just 6 teams.
