Jesus Blesses or Christ Blessing (in Manado language is Yesus Kase Berkat or Kristus Kase Berkat) is a statue of Jesus Christ in Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The structure stands 50 metres (158.3 feet) tall and consists of 20 metres of pedestal and 30 metres of statue. [1] [2] It is made of 25 tonnes of metal fibre and 35 tonnes of steel, and is located at the peak of the Citraland residential estate.
The idea came from Ir. Ciputra, an Indonesian real estate developer, when he and his wife stood where the statue is now. The statue was built for Manado and North Sulawesi society and to worship God. The construction took nearly three years by the Yogyakarta Engineer. [3] The monument cost was five billion rupiah (about 540,000 dollars). The statue is inaugurated in 2017 by Sinyo Harry Sarundajang, the governor of North Sulawesi. [4] The statue is designed to face towards the office of the governor of the province. [5]
This statue has a declivity 35 degree and is made from fiber and steel and became the "first tallest flying statue in the world." [4]
Manado is the capital city of the Indonesian province of North Sulawesi. It is the second largest city in Sulawesi after Makassar, with the 2020 census giving a population of 451,916, and the official estimates for mid 2023 showing 458,582 inhabitants, distributed over a land area of 157.26 km2. The Manado metropolitan area had a population of 1,377,815 as of mid 2023. The city is situated on the Bay of Manado, and is surrounded by a mountainous area.
Christ the Redeemer is an Art Deco statue of Jesus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French-Polish sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with French engineer Albert Caquot. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida sculpted the face. Constructed between 1922 and 1931, the statue is 30 metres (98 ft) high, excluding its 8-metre (26 ft) pedestal. The arms stretch 28 metres (92 ft) wide. It is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone. Christ the Redeemer differs considerably from its original design, as the initial plan was a large Christ with a globe in one hand and a cross in the other. Although the project organizers originally accepted the design, it later changed to the statue of today, with the arms spread out wide.
Tana Toraja is a landlocked regency (kabupaten) of South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia, and home to the Toraja ethnic group. It covers an area of 2,054.30 km2 (793.17 sq mi) and had a population of 221,081 at the 2010 census and 280,794 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 291,046, but the official figure for mid 2023 was a much reduced total of 257,901.

Gorontalo is a city and the capital of the Gorontalo Province, Sulawesi, Indonesia. The city has an area of 79.59 km2 and had a population of 179,991 at the 2010 census and 198,539 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 205,390. Previously part of North Sulawesi, it became the capital of the newly-formed Gorontalo Province on 5 December 2000 when that province was separated from North Sulawesi. As the largest settlement and the only city in the province, it is the economic, political, and educational center of the province, hosting most of its universities and is the location of one of the only two public university in the province.
Tomohon is a city in North Sulawesi Province, in central Indonesia. It covers an area of 147.21 km2, and had a population of 91,553 at the 2010 Census, rising to 100,587 at the 2020 Census. The official estimate as at mid 2023 was 103,072. Tomohon was formerly a part of the Minahasa Regency in North Sulawesi, but it officially became a city separated from the Regency, inaugurated on 4 August 2003.

He founded Ciputra Group, one of Indonesia's largest real estate companies, with three subsidiaries, including Ciputra Development, listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange. Known as one of Indonesia's most generous philanthropists, he established ten schools, the Ciputra University of Entrepreneurship in Surabaya, and the Ciputra Artpreneur Museum in Jakarta.

The Christ of the Mercy is a colossal statue of Jesus Christ in the city of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, to a height of 134m above sea level . The statue is located high above the northernmost seawall in the bay of San Juan. At the foot of the statue is a small chapel. Patung Yesus Kristus is a statue of Jesus Christ located on Mansinam Island, Manokwari Regency, West Papua, Indonesia. The structure stands at the height of 29.5 metres. The project was inaugurated on August 24, 2014, by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono near the end of his last term being the president.
Bernard Wilhelm "B. W." Lapian was a nationalist involved in the struggle for Indonesian independence. He published several newspapers that gave voice to the welfare of the Indonesian people and promoted Indonesian nationalism. He was also part a group who established a separate Christian denomination from the official Dutch East-Indies church institution. After Indonesia gained its independence, Lapian served as head of the district of Manado and acting governor of Sulawesi. In 2015, he was given the title of National Hero of Indonesia by President Joko Widodo.
Sinyo Harry Sarundajang was an Indonesian politician. He served as governor of North Sulawesi for all but one month from 2005 to 2015. He was also a former Governor of North Maluku in 2002 and Maluku in 2002–2003. In February 2018, he was appointed by the President Joko Widodo as the ambassador to the Philippines, with concurrent accreditation to the Marshall Islands and Palau.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is a 121-meter tall statue located in Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Bali, Indonesia. It was designed by Nyoman Nuarta and inaugurated in September 2018. The total height of the monument, including the 46-meter base pedestal is 121 m (397 ft). The statue was designed to be Indonesia’s tallest statue, and is inspired by an event that finds its roots in Hinduism about Garuda's search for Amrita, the elixir of life. According to this story, Garuda agreed to be ridden by Vishnu in return for the right to use the elixir to liberate his enslaved mother. The monument was completed on 31 July 2018 and inaugurated by Indonesian President Joko Widodo on 22 September 2018. It is the tallest statue of a Hindu deity and the tallest statue in Indonesia.
Jesus Buntu Burake is a Roman Catholic statue of Jesus Christ at Makale in Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is one of the tallest statues of Jesus Christ in the world, at 40 m (130 ft). It stands on the top of Buntu Burake hill about 1.700 metres above sea level. Jesus Buntu Burake also has a glass bridge.
Andrei Angouw is an Indonesian politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the incumbent mayor of Manado in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. He previously served as chief speaker of the North Sulawesi provincial parliament between 2016 and 2019. He was elected as the mayor of Manado in 2020, becoming the first Confucian mayor in Indonesia.
Don Jugov Santiago, popularly known as Bataha Santiago, was the third king of Manganitu Kingdom in Sangihe Islands of modern-day Indonesia. He ruled from 1670 until his death in 1675 and is known for his opposition to opening relations with the Dutch, which resulted in his deposition and execution. He was awarded title National Hero of Indonesia in 2023.
