Christian Daniel (born March 20, 1984) is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter.

Early life

Daniel was born in 1984 in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico, [1] to a Puerto Rican mother and a Puerto Rican father. [2]

Career

Daniel is a singer-songwriter. [3] At the age of 17, Daniel recorded his first demo with vocal coach Socky Torres. He sent demos to several recording companies until Emilio Estefan invited him to Miami to record his début album, Christian Daniel (2007). [4] He was the first artist signed to the record label Bad Boy Latino. Several of his songs have charted on various Billboard charts. [3] [5] [6] As of 2015, he has released three studio albums. [7] In addition to music, Daniel has also acted in Telemundo telenovelas including El fantasma de Elena and Santa Diabla . [2]

Personal life

Daniel moved from Puerto Rico to Miami circa 2007. [2]

Awards

Daniel was a finalist in the 2016 Latin Billboard Music Awards for Solo Latin Pop Songs Artist of the Year and Latin Pop Song of the Year for his song "Ahora Que Te Vas." [8] In 2017, he was nominated for the category Best Latin Artist by IHeartRadio Music Awards. [9]

"Que Lloren" (English: Let Them Cry) is a song by Puerto Rican reggaetón recording artist Ivy Queen, from her sixth studio album, Sentimiento (2007). It was composed by Queen, produced by Monserrate & DJ Urba, and released as the lead single off the album in January 2007. Lyrically, the song degrades the stereotype that men shouldn't cry and they are weak if they show emotions. The song gained positive to mixed reviews from critics, reaching the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot Latin Songs, Latin Rhythm Airplay, and Latin Tropical Airplay charts. A remix version with Tito "El Bambino", Naldo and Arcángel was also recorded and featured on the platinum edition of the album, after Sentimiento was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on May 10, 2007, two months after the standard edition was released. Ivy Queen performed the song at Latin Grammy Awards of 2007. It was included on the set of her 2008 World Tour which was held from the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum known as the Coliseum of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The song's accompanying music video was filmed in Downtown Miami, Florida. It was directed by Marlon Peña.

Encarnita "Kany" García de Jesús is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. Born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, García first appeared on television in 2004 as a contestant on Objetivo Fama. She is widely considered the most successful non-winner in the history of the show.

Lilian Maranet, known as K-Mil or K-Mill, is a Puerto Rican reggaetón singer-songwriter and record producer. On three occasions it has been nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards as Best Christian Album in 2006, 2007, 2013 and 2018. He has won five AMCL prizes and three arpa awards.

CNCO was an American latin boy band based in Miami, Florida. The group consisted of Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez and Zabdiel De Jesús; Joel Pimentel was a member until his departure in May 2021. They won a five-year recording contract with Sony Music Latin after becoming the winning competitors of the first season of La Banda. The band toured with Ricky Martin.
