Christian Ehring (born 18 September 1972) is a German comedian and author.

Life

Ehring works as a comedian at German theatres, and has appeared on a variety of television programs broadcast by German outlets. [1] [2] Since 2011 he has been the presenter of political satire show extra 3 on public broadcasting in Germany. [3] [4] He has written several books. [5] He lives in Düsseldorf, and has two children. [6] [7]

Thor Kunkel, a German author, was born in Frankfurt am Main on 2 September 1963. Kunkel claims to have spent his youth associating with drug friends and American soldiers stationed in the then West Germany. In 1981, on a scholarship to the United States, he enrolled in the creative writing programme of the San Francisco Art Institute.

Reiner Kunze is a German writer and GDR dissident. He studied media and journalism at the University of Leipzig. He had to publish his work under various pseudonyms. In 1976, his most famous book The Lovely Years, which contained critical insights into the life, and the policies behind the Iron Curtain, was published in West Germany to great acclaim. In 1977, the GDR regime expatriated him, and he moved to West Germany (FRG). He now lives near Passau in Bavaria.

Peter Merseburger was a German journalist and author. After working for newspapers and the magazine Der Spiegel, he moved to the broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) in 1965. He became known as television presenter of the political magazine Panorama that he moderated from 1967 to 1975, presenting controversial themes. From 1977, he was correspondent of the ARD in several capital cities such as Washington, D.C., East Berlin and London. After retirement in 1991, he turned to writing biographies of influential persons including Kurt Schumacher, Willy Brandt, Rudolf Augstein, and Theodor Heuss.
