Christopher Manns (born June 30, 1980) is an American former ice sledge hockey player. He won medals with Team USA at the 2002 Winter Paralympics and 2006 Winter Paralympics. [1]

Sledge hockey

Sledge hockey is an adaptation of ice hockey designed for players who have a physical disability. Invented in the early 1960s at a rehabilitation centre in Stockholm, Sweden, and played under similar rules to standard ice hockey, players are seated on sleds and use special hockey sticks with metal "teeth" on the tips of their handles to navigate the ice. Shelley Looney is an American ice hockey player and head coach. She scored the game-winning goal in the gold medal game for Team USA at the 1998 Winter Olympics, the team's first gold medal. She won a silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics. She played collegiate hockey at Northeastern University from 1991–94, winning multiple awards, including ECAC All-Star, 1993 ECAC Tournament MVP and ECAC Player of the Year (1993-94). Dan had the lower part of his left leg amputated as a result of a car accident in 1972. He was introduced to the sport of sled hockey by teammate and friend, Dave Conklin in 1989. Dan was on the very first USA sled hockey team, and every USA team up until he retired after winning the gold in 2002. Dan also competed in the 1998 Paralympic games in Nagano, Japan. Dan is a pioneer of the sport in the United States.

Francis X. "Kip" St. Germaine III is an American former ice sledge hockey player. He won medals with Team USA at the 2002 Winter Paralympics and 2006 Winter Paralympics. Germaine was inducted into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002.

Jack Sanders is an American former ice sledge hockey player. He won a gold medal with Team USA as a defenseman at the 2002 Winter Paralympics. Currently, he is a player/coach for Central Illinois Thunder.
