The Chubb Classic is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour Champions, held annually in February in Naples, Florida. It has been played at a variety of courses, and Chubb Corporation is the main sponsor.
It debuted 36 years ago in 1988 as the Aetna Challenge,. [2] The purse in 2016 was $1.6 million with a winner's share of $240,000. [1]
For 2021, the event moves to Tiburón Golf Club, but on the Black Course, which will be the first time it has been used in professional play. Tiburón's Gold Course is used for the QBE Challenge and CME Group Tour Championship, but this will be the first use of the secondary course.

Bernhard Langer is a German professional golfer. He is a two-time Masters champion and was one of the world's leading golfers throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In 1986, he became the sport's first number one ranked player following the creation of the Sony Ranking.
Stephen Michael Ames is a professional golfer formerly of the PGA Tour, who now plays on the PGA Tour Champions. The biggest win of his career was at The Players Championship in 2006. He holds dual citizenship of Trinidad and Tobago and Canada.
The World Golf Hall of Fame was, until recently, located at World Golf Village between Jacksonville, Florida and St. Augustine, Florida, in the United States. Hale S. Irwin is an American professional golfer. He was one of the world's leading golfers from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. He is one of the few players in history to win three U.S. Opens, becoming the oldest ever U.S. Open champion in 1990 at the age of 45. As a senior golfer, Irwin ranks second all-time in PGA Tour Champions victories. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in Champions Tour history. He has also developed a career as a golf course architect.
Davis Milton Love III is an American professional golfer who has won 21 events on the PGA Tour, including one major championship: the 1997 PGA Championship. He won the Players Championship in 1992 and 2003. He was in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking for over 450 weeks, reaching a high ranking of 2nd. He captained the U.S. Ryder Cup teams in 2012 and 2016. Love was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2017.
The Players Championship is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974. The Players Championship at one point offered the highest purse of any tournament in golf. The field usually includes the top 50 players in the world rankings, but, unlike the major championships, it is owned by the PGA Tour and not an official event on other tours.
The Tradition is an event on the PGA Tour Champions. First staged 35 years ago in 1989, the PGA Tour recognizes the event as one of the five senior major golf championships. Steven Charles Stricker is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour Champions. He has twelve victories on the PGA Tour, including the WGC-Match Play title in 2001 and two FedEx Cup playoff events. His most successful season on tour came at age 42 in 2009, with three victories and a runner-up finish on the money list. Stricker spent over 250 weeks in the top-10 of the Official World Golf Ranking, reaching a career-high world ranking of No. 2 in September 2009. Stricker served as U.S. Ryder Cup captain for the 2021 matches, winning at Whistling Straits in his home state of Wisconsin.
The Dick's Sporting Goods Open is a golf tournament held in Endicott, New York, United States as part of the PGA Tour Champions. It debuted in July 2007, supplanting the B.C. Tiburón Golf Club is a golf club located in Naples, Florida. It has two courses, Gold and Black, both designed by Greg Norman, twice the winner of the Open Championship and formerly the top-ranked player in the world. From Australia, Norman's nickname on the PGA Tour was the "Great White Shark", and tiburón is the Spanish word for shark.
