Jakarta,officially the Special Capital Region of Jakarta and formerly known as Batavia until 1949,is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Lying on the northwest coast of Java,the world's most populous island,Jakarta is the largest metropole in Southeast Asia,and serves as the diplomatic capital of ASEAN. The Special Capital Region has a status equivalent to that of a province and is bordered by two other provinces:West Java to the south and east;and Banten to the west. Its coastline faces the Java Sea to the north,and it shares a maritime border with Lampung to the west. Jakarta's metropolitan area is ASEAN's second largest economy after Singapore.
Banten is the westernmost province on the island of Java,Indonesia. Its capital city is Serang and its largest city is Tangerang. The province borders West Java and the Special Capital Region of Jakarta on the east,the Java Sea on the north,the Indian Ocean on the south,and the Sunda Strait on the west and shares a maritime border with Lampung to the west. The province covers an area of 9,352.77 km2 (3,611.12 sq mi). It had a population of over 11.9 million in the 2020 census,up from about 10.6 million in 2010. Provinces are the first-level administrative divisions of Indonesia. It is formerly called the first-level provincial region before the Reform era. Provinces have a local government,consisting of a governor and a regional legislative body. The governor and members of local representative bodies are elected by popular vote for five-year terms,but governors can only serve for two terms. Provincial governments have the authority to regulate and manage their own government affairs,subject to the limits of the central government. The average land area of all 38 provinces in Indonesia is about 49,800 km2 (19,200 sq mi),and they had an average population in mid 2023 of 7,334,111 people.
Lampung,officially the Province of Lampung,is a province of Indonesia. It is located on the southern tip of the island of Sumatra. Way Kambas National Park is a national park covering 1,300 km2 (500 sq mi) in Lampung province of southern Sumatra,Indonesia. It consists of swamp forest and lowland rain forest,mostly of secondary growth as result of extensive logging in the 1960s and 1970s. Despite decreasing populations,the park still has a few critically endangered Sumatran tigers,Sumatran elephants and Sumatran rhinoceroses. It also hosts over 400 bird species.

Tanggamus Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province,Sumatra,Indonesia. It has an area of 4,654.96 km2 which consists of a land area of 2,855.46 km2 and a sea area of 1,799.5 km2. It had a population of 534,595 at the 2010 Census and 640,275 at the 2020 Census;the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 662,542. The regency seat is the town of Kota Agung Pusat. The regency was created on 21 March 1997 from what were previously the western districts of South Lampung Regency,but districts in its eastern part split away on 29 October 2008 to form the new Pringsewu Regency. It lies in the southwest of the province,and surrounds Semangka Bay on its west,north and east coasts.
