Cindy Tolan is an American casting director and producer. [1] [2] Her career began in theatre, before she transitioned to television and film. [3] She was awarded a BAFTA for her work as casting director of West Side Story in 2021. [4] [5] [6] For the film she auditioned 30,000 people in order to create an authentic cast with performers of Latin descent. [2] [7] [8] She is credited with the discovery of Rachel Zegler and for encouraging Ariana DeBose to audition for the production. [2]

In 2019 she was nominated for two Black Reel Awards for different films, competing with herself in the Best Ensemble category for If Beale Street Could Talk and Sorry to Bother You. [9] In 2018 she awarded an Emmy for her work on The Marvelous Mrs Maisel - Tolan was part of a team who cast the first season, but subsequently was the sole casting director for seasons two and three. [10] She is a member of the Casting Society of America. [11]

Daniel Palladino is an American television executive producer, screenwriter, and director. He is best known for his work on the television series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017–present), which earned him a WGA Award, two PGA Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is an American period comedy-drama television series that was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, and premiered on Amazon Prime Video on March 17, 2017. It takes place mainly in the late 1950s and early 1960s, with flashforwards to later decades in the final season, and stars Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam "Midge" Maisel: a New York housewife who discovers she has a talent for stand-up comedy and pursues a career in this field. It also stars Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, Jane Lynch and Luke Kirby. The pilot episode received critical acclaim and the series was picked up by Amazon Studios. The fifth and final season premiered on April 14, 2023, and concluded on May 26, 2023.

"We're Going to the Catskills!" is the fourth episode of the second season of the American comedy-drama series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the twelfth overall. It was written and directed by Daniel Palladino. The plot follows Midge and her family's trip to a Jewish resort in the Catskill Mountains for the summer. Susie poses as an employee of the resort while booking gigs for Midge. Midge meets Benjamin, a bachelor physician who is also vacationing at the resort.

Sarah Halley Finn is an American casting director and producer. With well over 100 feature films and multiple awards to her credit, she is best known for casting the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe – the most successful film franchise of all time. She also cast and co-produced Oscar winning Best Picture Everything Everywhere All at Once, the most awarded film in movie history. It won three out of four acting categories at the 95th Academy Awards: Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress – a feat only achieved twice before, and not since 1976. Other works include Oscar-winning films Black Panther; Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri; and Crash; all of which earned Finn the Casting Society of America’s highest honor, the Artios Award for Outstanding Achievement in Casting. Those films also won the prestigious SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Shayna Markowitz is an American casting director, who is the recipient of the inaugural BAFTA Award for Best Casting in 2020 in recognition of her work on the film Joker. She works across film and television, and casting director credits also include Dash & Lily (2020), The Best of Enemies (2019) and Ocean's 8 (2018), amongst others.
