Circle Theatre Company is a theatre group in India. The group has its headquarters in Delhi.
Established in 2003, under the leadership of Bapi Bose, one of the directors in the contemporary Indian theatre, Circle Theatre is a professional theatre company.

Julius Caesar Ke Aakhri Saat Din (Revival in 2008): Design and Direction - Bapi Bose A play against Autocracy, War in comparison to the sanctity of Democracy, based on the Great dictator Julius Caesar. It questions about the defense of the country, the society, the culture, the religion, the democracy, the independence and the human rights. But upon establishing in the power the leaders forget the welfare of the people and the society – the human rights are killed first instead. Then what is the way out of such predicament for human society? In the last 2000 years all ‘Caesars’ are busy building their ‘personal property much than anything else. Pratham Parth (2006): Design and Direction - Bapi Bose The production based on the famous play written by Buddhadeb Bosu about the dexterous episode of Mahabharata and a subaltern introspection of Karna, the Great warrior. If Karna’s childhood would have been normal, well nurtured, the story of Mahabharata would have been different. The premise is it is a case of lost childhood so take care of your little child, don’t push them away. Ekla Chalo Re (2004): Design and Direction - Bapi Bose A play on assassination of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and the following incidents of partition in the backdrop of Indian independence movement. Now half a century after that eventful moment we are once again at the arc of a dramatic historical moment where the divisive forces are raising their heads all over again. Introspection of those events in this dramatic work acts as a reminder for those who care for the unity of the country and for those who do not care. It talks about the communal harmony and the national integration. Socrates (2002): Design and Direction - Bapi Bose This is a debut production, based on Socrates, the great philosopher. It’s a contemporary assessment of Autocracy, Freedom of Thought, Freedom of Expression and again upholding the sanctity of Democracy, law & judiciary, communal harmony and national integration. It had the honour of having the premier as the Venue Opening production at International Theatre Festival of National School of Drama - 4th Bharat Rang Mahotsav, 2002, etc.

National School of Drama (NSD) is a theatre training institute situated at New Delhi, India. It is an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It was set up in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and became an independent school in 1975. In 2005, it was granted deemed university status, but in 2011 it was revoked. Paresh Rawal is the current Chairperson & Chittaranjan Tripathy currently serves as Director of National School of Drama (NSD).

Shyamanand Jalan was a Kolkata-based Indian theatre director, and actor. He is credited for the renaissance period of modern Indian theatre and especially the Hindi theatre in Kolkata from the 1960s to 1980s. He was the first to perform modernist Mohan Rakesh, starting with Ashadh Ka Ek Din in 1960 and in the coming years bridged the gap between Hindi theatre and Bengali theatre, by mounting Hindi productions of works by Bengali playwrights, like Badal Sircar's Evam Indrajit (1968) and Pagla Ghora (1971), which in turn introduced Sircar to rest of the country. In 2005, he directed his first and only film Eashwar Mime Co., which was an adaptation of Dibyendu Palit's story, Mukhabhinoy, by Vijay Tendulkar.
Bharat Rang Mahotsav (BRM) or the National Theatre Festival, started in 1999, is the annual theatre festival organised by National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. The festival was started to showcase works of Indian theatre practitioners, and it has grown over the years to attract international performers as well. National School of Drama is India's premier theatre training institute funded by Govt. of India.
Arunima Kumar, Sangeet Natak Akademi Yuva Puraskar awardee for the year of 2008 for Kuchipudi. As a young girl of 9, Arunima acted in the ballet Amrapali. The Kuchipudi Dance Academy formally launched her in 1995 where she performed her Arangetram at the Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi.
Amal Allana is an Indian theatre director, scenic designer and costume designer and presently she is in her second consecutive term as the Chairperson of National School of Drama, India's premier institute of Theatre training, she also runs the Dramatic Art and Design Academy (DADA), New Delhi, with her husband Nissar Allana, which they co-founded in 2000.
Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts or SRC one of Delhi's best known theatres at Mandi House on Safdar Hasmi Marg, New Delhi, close to the Kendra, it is run by the Indian National Theatre Trust established in 1958 the promotion of Art and Culture, with people like Sheila Bharat Ram, Kamla Devi Chattopadhyay, Nandita Kriplani and Aditya Srivastava associated with it. The Centre runs a certified Two Year Acting Course. The SRCPA Theatre Repertory Company started in 1980 and Puppet Theatre company, which over the years saw the rise of modern puppetry under puppeteer Dadi Padamjee.
Hindi theatre is theatre performed in the Hindi language, including dialects such as Braj Bhasha, Khari Boli and Hindustani. Hindi theatre is produced mainly in North India, and some parts of West India and Central India, which include Mumbai and Bhopal. Hindi theatre has its roots in the traditional folk theatre of North India, like Ram lila and Raslila, and also influenced by distant Sanskrit drama. Starting with Bhartendu Harishchandra in the late 19th century and subsequent playwrights like Jaishankar Prasad, Mohan Rakesh, Hindi theatre came of age in the 1940s and 50s, when IPTA movement created a new brand of theatre practitioners in Hindi speaking areas, especially with IPTA Mumbai, Prithvi Theatres of thespian Prithviraj Kapoor, and theatre artiste Habib Tanvir, paving way for next generation of artists who came out once National School of Drama, Delhi started functioning in 1959.
Sapan Saran is a poet, writer, and an actor based in Mumbai. She is the founding member of the theatre company, "Tamaasha", which aims to explore new theatre ideas in alternative spaces.
Torit Mitra is a noted Indian Bengali playwright and theatre director. He co-founded avant-garde theatre company, Sansaptak in 1992. He has written 80 plays, all staged by Sansaptak. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1979 from Delhi College of Arts and received a UNICEF Fellowship for Fine Arts. Torit Mitra started painting professionally and became famous for his black and white drawings with political overtones. He received many national and international awards and recognitions. His paintings found their way to national and international collections and archives. He was also associated with the literary movement of the time.

Atul Satya Koushik is a theatre artist who is active in Indian theatre as a playwright, director, producer and promoter. Raj Bisaria was an Indian director, producer, actor and educationalist, described by the Press Trust of India as "the father of the modern theatre in North India". He founded Theatre Arts Workshop in 1966, and Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1975 and the repertory company of Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1980. He blended artistic concepts of the East and the West, and the traditional and the modern.

She was honoured by Bhojpuri Kokila in Kolkata. BAG Films-News 24 awarded her best traditional folk singer. She appeared in India Today Magazine in cover story for her contributions to Indian folk music. She has been singing in various forms of folks like Purabi Sohar, Pachra Gandhi song, River Song, Chhath Song Kajri and Thumri.
