Timbaland & Magoo were an American hip hop duo composed of producer/rapper Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley and rapper Melvin "Magoo" Barcliff, formed in 1990. The duo signed with Blackground Records, an imprint of Atlantic Records to release three studio albums: Welcome to Our World (1997), Indecent Proposal (2001), and Under Construction, Part II (2003). Following the latter's moderate reception, Timbaland then focused on his solo career and production work, while Magoo failed to release any solo material. Magoo died of a heart attack in 2023.

He is best known for his posthumous guest appearance on Lil Wayne's 2008 single "Lollipop", which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 and received diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The song and its music video were both released in memory of his death in February of that year.

Production was handled by Ken Jo, Polow da Don, Ckay1, Jazze Pha, Ole-E and Vudu, with Chaka Zulu, Jeff Dixon and Ludacris serving as executive producers. It features guest appearances from Ludacris, Bobby V, Ciara and Jamie Foxx. The album debuted at number 7 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums with first week sales of 63,000 copies in the United States.

The following year, he gained mainstream attention for his guest appearance alongside Jay-Z, Pusha T, Swizz Beatz, and RZA on Kanye West's 2010 song "So Appalled" from his album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010). He was then credited with extensive songwriting work on West's further releases, resulting in five Grammy Award nominations for Best Rap Song, as well as one further nomination for his work on Travis Scott's 2018 single "Sicko Mode."
