Clayton "Clay" French [1] (born October 7, 1980) is an American mixed martial artist who fought on Pride Fighting Championships, Sengoku, KOTC and other several fighting organizations. He holds a notable victory over TUF winner Mac Danzig by split decision and has trained with former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes. [2]

Biography

Clay wrestled at Eastern Illinois University where he was coached by Matt Hughes who turned him on to Mixed martial arts. Clay became a KOTC lightweight title holder. He has since started fighting at Sengoku in Japan and he enjoys the Japanese fighting culture. [3] he then began fighting in Titan Fighting Championships. [4] Clay was the head coach of wrestling at St. Laurence High School from 2015-2017. [5] Before Clay moved to Morton Freshman center, he worked as a computer teacher in a school nearby, Burnham Elementary. Clay has since moved to be a teacher at Morton Freshman Center in Cicero, IL. In the 2017-2018 School year, he is a teacher in the TSI department, a part of the school meant to teach students how to work with computers.

During his tenures in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Hughes put together two six-fight winning streaks defeating all of the available opposition in the welterweight division. Carlos Newton is an Anguillian-born Canadian retired mixed martial artist. He is a former UFC Welterweight Champion and Pride FC Japan MMA Legend. Known as "The Ronin", he competed worldwide in the biggest MMA organizations including UFC, Pride FC, IFL, K-1, Shooto and most recently W-1. He is a 3rd Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt alongside his coach Terry Riggs under Renzo Gracie, at Warrior MMA in Newmarket, Ontario. Nick Denis is a retired Canadian professional mixed martial artist. A World Victory Road, Aggression Fighting Championship, King of the Cage and UFC veteran, Denis is best known for being a former KOTC Canada Bantamweight Champion, semi-finalist in the Sengoku Featherweight Tournament and his Knockout of the Night victory in his debut fight in the UFC.
