Tilburg is a city in the Netherlands, in the southern province of North Brabant. With a population of 217,595, it is the second-largest municipality in North Brabant, and the sixth largest in the Netherlands.

Avalon was a webcomic by Josh Phillips set in the fictional city of Avalon, Ontario, Canada. It focused on a group of high school students, and while it was originally gag-a-day, it evolved into a coherent, long-term story with realistic characters. Dinosaur Comics is a constrained webcomic by Canadian writer Ryan North. It is also known as "Qwantz", after the site's domain name, "qwantz.com". The first comic was posted on February 1, 2003, although there were earlier prototypes. Dinosaur Comics has also been printed in three collections and in a number of newspapers. The comic centers on three main characters, T-Rex, Utahraptor and Dromiceiomimus.
Shaenon K. Garrity is a webcomics writer and artist, best known as the creator of Narbonic. She has been an editor for Viz Media, working on over 20 manga series including Naruto, One Piece, Inuyasha and Case Closed. She has contributed to many comics, cartoons and manga publications including Animerica, Nickelodeon Magazine, Otaku USA and websites Anime News Network, The Comics Journal.
Jeffrey J. Rowland is the author and artist responsible for Wigu and Overcompensating, two popular webcomics. Originally from Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Rowland now lives in Easthampton, Massachusetts where he continues to work on the two projects, while running TopatoCo, a company which sells merchandise based on his and other artists' comics.
Kristofer "Kris" Straub is a webcartoonist and the creator of Checkerboard Nightmare, Starslip, Chainsawsuit, Broodhollow, and F Chords. He is also a co-founder of webcomics collectives Blank Label Comics and Halfpixel. Straub and Scott Kurtz have co-created the animated series Blamimation with Kris and Scott, and the live-action comedy webseries Kris and Scott's Scott and Kris Show for Penny Arcade's PATV.

Girlamatic was a webcomic subscription service launched by Joey Manley and Lea Hernandez in March 2003. It was the third online magazine Manley established as part of his Modern Tales family of websites. Girlamatic was created as a place where both female artists and readers could feel comfortable and featured a diverse mix of genres. When the site launched, the most recent webcomic pages and strips were free, and the website's archives were available by subscription. The editorial role was held by Hernandez from 2003 until 2006, when it was taken over by Arcana Jayne-creator Lisa Jonté, one of the site's original artists. In 2009, Girlamatic was relaunched as a free digital magazine, this time edited by Spades-creator Diana McQueen. The archives of the webcomics that ran on Girlamatic remained freely available until the website was discontinued in 2013.
The Stripschapprijs is a Dutch prize awarded to comic creators for their entire body of work. It is awarded annually by the Stripschap, the Dutch Society of comics fans, since 1974. The prize is non-pecuniary, but is considered the most important award for comics in the country.
Gunnerkrigg Court is a science-fantasy webcomic created by Tom Siddell and launched in April 2005. It is updated online three days a week, and the first volume of the comic was published in print format by Archaia Studios Press and Titan Books. The StadsHeer is a building in the neighborhood Haestrechtkwartier in the Dutch city of Tilburg. The building is 101 metres tall and has 31 above ground floors. Therefore, it is the second tallest building in Tilburg after Westpoint Tower. The lower six floors are occupied by offices and the upper 25 floors by 85 rental apartment units.

Liz Greenfield is a Dutch-born webcartoonist living in Manchester, England. Best known for writing the webcomic Stuff Sucks, set in her birth place of Amsterdam, Greenfield also wrote the webcomics Steak and Kidney Punch and Swallow.
