Clifford Wendell Walwyn (born 22 May 1964) is a former West Indian cricketer. Walwyn was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. He was born at Brown Hill,Nevis.
Walwyn made his first-class debut for the Leeward Islands against Barbados in the 1993/94 Red Stripe Bowl. He made six further first-class appearances for the team,the last of which came against Jamaica in the 1994/95 Red Stripe Bowl. [1] In his seven first-class matches,he scored 300 runs at an average of 27.27,with two half centuries and a high score of 80, [2] which came against Trinidad and Tobago at Sturge Park in the 1993/94 Red Stripe Bowl. [3] He also played List A cricket for the Leeward Islands,making his debut in that format against Barbados in the 1993/94 Geddes Grant Shield. He made five further List A appearances for the team,the last of which came against Barbados in the final of the same tournament,which the Leeward Islands won. [4] In six List A appearances,he scored 91 runs at an average of 18.20,with a high score of 32. [5]
In February 2006,Walwyn played for the United States Virgin Islands in the 2006 Stanford 20/20,whose matches held official Twenty20 status. He made two appearances in the tournament,in a preliminary round victory against St Maarten and in a first-round defeat against St Vincent and the Grenadines. [6] He later played for the United States Virgin Islands in their second appearance in the Stanford 20/20 in 2008,making two appearances in a preliminary round victory against St Kitts and in a first-round defeat against Antigua and Barbuda. [6] In his four appearances,he scored a total of 68 runs at an average of 17.00 and a high score of 40. [7]

An all-rounder,he is known as an aggressive and powerful right-handed batsman,bowls medium pace,and is also an athletic fielder. Smith was a part of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup.

In the 2013–2014 season the winner of the tournament was awarded the WICB President's Trophy while the winners of the knockout competition were awarded the George Headley/Everton Weekes trophy. The Super50 Cup,currently named the CG Insurance Super50 Cup for sponsorship purposes is the domestic one-day cricket competition in the West Indies. It was previously known as the KFC Cup until the fast food chain pulled out of sponsorship in 2008 and the WICB Cup until 2011. Afterwards it was known the Regional Super50 until 2014 when NAGICO Insurance became the title sponsor and it became the NAGICO Regional Super50 until 2021. In recent years it has been run in a condensed format with the group stage taking place over approximately two to three weeks,immediately followed by the knock-out stages. The 2005–06 West Indian cricket season includes all domestic cricket matches played by senior teams with first-class status in the West Indies between October 2005 and March 2006,and also the international feats of the West Indies team,who is not scheduled to play any home games during this period but are to play home matches during April,May and June 2006. The season began on 2005-10-03 with the first matches of the one-day KFC Cup and is scheduled to last until 2006-03-19 when England A depart after their tour which will include one-day and first-class matches against the West Indies A team. The West Indies will not play any home Tests during their home season,but they have toured Australia,and toured New Zealand in February and March,immediately after the conclusion of the 2005-06 Carib Beer Cup,the first-class competition.

His first-class debut came in January 2000,in the 1999–00 Busta Cup. In the 2001–02 Busta Cup,Mayers was selected to play for West Indies B. He scored two half-centuries during the season,which were his highest scores at first-class level. Mayers' final appearances for Barbados came in the 2006 Stanford 20/20,against Anguilla and Trinidad and Tobago.
