Clockwork is the second studio album by Phrase. Originally intended for a late 2007 release [3] it was put out in April 2009. It includes collaborations with Bliss n Eso, Jackson Jackson and Daniel Merriweather and has guest appearances by Kram and Wendy Matthews. [4] Clockwork was nominated for an ARIA for best urban album, [5] nominated for Triple J's album of the year [6] and was feature album on Triple J. [7]

Spiderbait is an Australian alternative rock band from Finley, New South Wales, formed in 1991 by bass guitarist and singer Janet English, drummer and singer Kram, and guitarist Damian Whitty. In 2004 the group's cover version of the 1930s Lead Belly song "Black Betty" reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart. They have five top 20 albums: The Unfinished Spanish Galleon of Finley Lake (1995), Ivy and the Big Apples (1996), Grand Slam (1999), Tonight Alright (2004), and Greatest Hits (2005). The group have won two ARIA Music Awards with the first in 1997 as 'Best Alternative Release' for Ivy and the Big Apples and the second in 2000 as 'Best Cover-Art' for their single "Glockenpop". Australian hip hop traces its origins to the early 1980s and is largely inspired by hip hop and other urban musical genres from the United States. As the form matured, Australian hip hop has become a commercially viable style of music which is no longer restricted to the creative underground, with artists such as The Kid LAROI, Manu Crooks, ONEFOUR, Iggy Azalea, Hilltop Hoods, Bliss n Eso and Youngn Lipz, having achieved notable fame. Australian hip hop is still primarily released through independent record labels, which are often owned and operated by the artists themselves. Despite its genesis as an offshoot of American hip hop, Australian hip hop has developed a distinct personality that reflects its evolution as an Australian musical style.

Wendy Joan Matthews is a Canadian-born Australian singer-songwriter who has been a member of Models and Absent Friends and is a solo artist. She released Top 20 hit singles in the 1990s including "Token Angels", "Let's Kiss ", "The Day You Went Away" and "Friday's Child" with Top 20 albums, You've Always Got The Blues, Émigré, Lily, The Witness Tree and her compilation, Stepping Stones. She has won six Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Awards. According to rock music historian, Ian McFarlane she provides "extraordinary, crystal-clear vocals [...] a soulfulness that was the mark of a truly gifted singer".

Bliss n Eso Australian hip hop trio

Bliss n Eso are an Australian hip hop trio based in Sydney, New South Wales. They are currently signed to Melbourne record label Illusive Sounds, and are managed and booked by label co-founders Adam Jankie and Matt Gudinski. Bliss n Eso have released six studio albums which include three number 1 debuts on the ARIA Charts. They have also won two ARIA Awards for Best Urban Release for their 2008 album Flying Colours and for Best Music Video for their 2017 single "Moments". Eso, under his alias Esoterik, released an album entitled "My Astral Plane" in May 2018.

Daniel Merriweather Australian R&B recording artist

Daniel Paul Merriweather is an Australian R&B recording artist. Merriweather's debut solo album, Love & War, was released in June 2009. It entered the UK Albums Chart at number two. It was preceded by two singles, "Change" and "Red", which both made the top 10 on the related singles chart. Merriweather has won two ARIA Music Awards, Best Urban Release in 2005 for "She's Got Me" and Best Male Artist in 2009 for Love & War.

Obese Records Record label

Obese Records was a record label that released music from the Australian hip hop genre. It was the largest Australian independent hip hop label, including performers Pegz, Thundamentals and Dialectrix. Obese Records also operated two retail stores in Melbourne, a record distribution company, a soul imprint named Plethora Records, and operates the artists' management and touring company Obese Records Artist Management.

Bluejuice was an Australian band based in Sydney, active between 2000 and 2014. The group's final line-up consisted of lead vocalist Jake Stone, backing vocalist Stavros Yiannoukas, bassist Jamie Cibej and drummer James Hauptmann. The band released three studio albums Problems, Head of the Hawk and Company as well as a greatest hits album in 2014.

Running on Air is the fourth studio album by the Australian hip hop trio Bliss n Eso. It was released on 30 July 2010. The album debuted at No. 1 in Australia for the week commencing 9 August 2010. It has since been certified Platinum by ARIA. It was nominated by Australian radio station, Triple J for Album of the Year, along with Megan Washington's I Believe You Liar, and Birds of Tokyo's Birds of Tokyo.

He has produced records for Logic, Demi Lovato, Madonna, Eminem, Kehlani, Zara Larsson, Remi Wolf, Kiiara, Noah Cyrus, and Cautious Clay. He produced and wrote Eminem’s “Bad Guy” off 2015’s Grammy Winner for Best Rap Album of the Year “The Marshall Mathers LP 2.” He produced and wrote “Sober” by Demi Lovato, “playinwitme” by KYLE ft. Kehlani, “Adore” by Amy Shark, “I Got So High That I Saw Jesus” by Noah Cyrus, and “Painkiller” by Ruel ft Denzel Curry.

Circus In The Sky is the fifth studio album by the Australian hip hop trio Bliss n Eso, following 2010's Running On Air. It was released on 28 June 2013 through Illusive Sounds. Bliss N Eso began recording the album in late 2012. The album revolves around themes such as optimism, freedom, and peace. The album instantly reached No. 1 on the iTunes albums chart upon release, and debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The album was positively received and was accredited gold. Bliss N Eso toured in support for the album on the House Of Dreams Tour in 2013 and the Circus Under The Stars Tour in 2014. Circus In The Sky was nominated for an ARIA Music Award for Best Urban Album.

Diafrix are an Australian hip hop duo, Azmarino and Momo, which formed in 2001. Their music mixes funk, soul, reggae and dancehall.

House of Dreams (song) 2013 single by Bliss N Eso

"House of Dreams" is a song by Australian hip hop trio Bliss n Eso. It was released on 8 March 2013 through Illusive Sounds as the first single from their fifth studio album Circus in the Sky. Critical reception to song was generally positive. 'House of Dreams' debuted on the ARIA Singles Chart at No. 47 and spent 5 weeks on the chart. It also finished at No. 94 on the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2013. Bliss n Eso performed the song alongside 'My Life' at the ARIA Music Awards of 2013 where they were nominated for 'Best Urban Album' for Circus in the Sky. The song was also used in a promo the 2013 AFL Grand Final. In July 2013 Bliss n Eso began their 'House of Dreams Tour'.

"The Sea is Rising" is a song by Australian hip hop trio Bliss n Eso featuring John Butler Trio. It was released in 2008 as the third single from the trio's third studio album, Flying Colours. The song peaked and debuted at No. 80 on the ARIA Singles Chart. In 2013, five years after its release, it was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association for sales/shipments of over 35,000 copies.

Max Donald Mackinnon, who performs as Esoterik or Eso, is an Australian hip hop artist and a founding member of Bliss n Eso since 2000. He was nominated for the 2018 ARIA Award for Best Urban Album for his solo nine-track extended play, My Astral Plane. The EP had reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 50.
