Cobb County is a county in the U.S. state of Georgia, located in the Atlanta metropolitan area in the north central portion of the state. As of 2020 Census, the population was 766,149. It is the state's third most populous county, after Fulton and Gwinnett counties. Its county seat is Marietta; its largest city is Mableton.
Acworth is a city in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, this city had a population of 22,440, up from 20,425 in 2010. Acworth is located in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains along the southeastern banks of Lake Acworth and Lake Allatoona on the Etowah River. Unincorporated areas known as Acworth extend into Bartow, Cherokee and Paulding counties.
Kennesaw is a suburban city northwest of Atlanta in Cobb County, Georgia, United States, located within the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. Known from its original settlement in the 1830s until 1887 as Big Shanty, it became Kennesaw under its 1887 charter. According to the 2010 census, Kennesaw had a population of 29,783, but in 2019 it had a population of 34,077 showing a 14.4% increase in population over the past decade. Kennesaw has an important place in railroad history. During the Civil War, Kennesaw was the staging ground for the Great Locomotive Chase on April 12, 1862.
Smyrna is a city in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. It is located northwest of Atlanta, and is in the inner ring of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. It is included in the Atlanta–Sandy Springs–Alpharetta MSA, which is included in the Atlanta–Athens-Clarke–Sandy Springs CSA.

Americus is the county seat of Sumter County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 16,230. It is the principal city of the Americus Micropolitan Statistical Area, a micropolitan area that covers Schley and Sumter counties and had a combined population of 36,966 at the 2000 census.
The Chattahoochee River forms the southern half of the Alabama and Georgia border, as well as a portion of the Florida and Georgia border. It is a tributary of the Apalachicola River, a relatively short river formed by the confluence of the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers and emptying from Florida into Apalachicola Bay in the Gulf of Mexico. The Chattahoochee River is about 430 miles (690 km) long. The Chattahoochee, Flint, and Apalachicola rivers together make up the Apalachicola–Chattahoochee–Flint River Basin. The Chattahoochee makes up the largest part of the ACF's drainage basin.
Foam Lake is a town in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. It had a population of 1,123 in 2006. It is located in a mixed agricultural area approximately 220 km south-east of Saskatoon on the Yellowhead Highway. Foam Lake, the lake for which the town is named, is located about 5 km (3.1 mi) to the north-west.
Lake Arrowhead is located approximately two miles (3 km) southwest of Waleska, in the mountainous, west-northwestern part of Cherokee County, Georgia, United States. Located just east-southeast of Bear Mountain, it is Georgia's second largest man-made, private lake, covering approximately 540 acres (2.2 km2) and reaching depths of up to 80 feet (24 m).
Georgia Veterans State Park is a state park located on Lake Blackshear in Crisp County, west of Cordele, Georgia. It was established on December 4, 1946 as a memorial to U.S. Veterans. The 1,308-acre (5 km2) park features a museum with aircraft, vehicles, weapons, uniforms and other memorabilia dating from the Revolutionary War to the present.
Cobb Island is a small island located at the confluence of the Potomac and Wicomico rivers in southern Charles County, Maryland, United States. It is located approximately 45 miles (72 km) south of Washington, and is considered to be within the Washington, D.C. MSA. Cobb Island is separated from the mainland by Neale Sound and connected to it by a 0.11-mile-long (180 m) fixed bridge carrying Maryland Route 254.
Lake Blackshear is a man-made lake on the Flint River in Georgia created by a dam that was constructed from 1925 to 1930. The lake was named after General David Blackshear.

Newburg is an unincorporated community in Charles County, Maryland, United States. Newburg has two stores, a lodge hall, and a fire department, as well as Piccowaxen Middle School and Dr. Thomas L. Higdon Elementary, both serving the entire Cobb Neck peninsula. Newburg also is the northbound terminus of the Harry Nice Memorial Bridge serving U.S. Route 301.
Forest Lake Resort was a resort in the Cobb Mountain area of Lake County, California, in an area of wet meadows along Kelsey Creek. Originally a campground, it was developed into a resort in the 1930s to exploit the growing automobile-based recreation market. The resort was sold in 1963. By 1989 it was longer operational, and was being considered for development as a community park site.
Hobergs is an unincorporated community in Lake County, California. It grew up around the former Hoberg's Resort.
Otter Creek is a small unincorporated community in Pierce County, Georgia, United States, separating the cities of Patterson and Blackshear. The community includes a volunteer fire department, community center, and a popular restaurant also named "Otter Creek."
East Cobb is an unincorporated community in Cobb County, Georgia, United States, with a population of 175,890 people. It is an affluent northern suburb of Atlanta.
Mountain Park is a city primarily in the western part of northern Fulton County in the U.S. state of Georgia, with a small portion extending less than 1,000 feet (300 m) into southeastern Cherokee County. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 583.
David Blackshear was an American general. Lake Blackshear, Blackshear Road and the city of Blackshear, Georgia, were named in honor him. He authorized road and bridge construction in the area and some 11 forts for defense. He fought in the American Revolution, possibly in the Craven County Regiment of the North Carolina militia. He was reported to have been engaged at the Battle of Moore's Creek Bridge on February 27, 1776 and the Battle of Beaufort in April 1782.
