Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Sean Patrick Thomas, Eve, and several more actors reprise their roles from the first Barbershop film. However, a few of the original film's actors including Tom Wright and Jazsmin Lewis return with smaller roles.

Nomad was Kazakhstan's official entry for Best Foreign Language Film for the 79th Academy Awards, but it didn't make the final shortlist.
