After numerous lineup changes, the album features Soilwork's Björn "Speed" Strid on vocals. The song, "Red Clouds" was chosen as the band's first video and was directed by bass player Mirco Andreis.

Mind Tricks is the third full-length studio album by the Italian melodic death metal band Disarmonia Mundi, released on 12 June 2006 by Scarlet Records. This album again features Björn "Speed" Strid on vocals, but this time without their bassist Mirco Andreis, who decided to leave the band to concentrate on his career as a video clip director. Mirco directed the video for the song "Celestial Furnace", but this time did not appear in the video. The album features a Pantera cover version of the song "Mouth for War". The Japanese release of the album includes a bonus track from a 2002 demo entitled, "Moon of Glass". The Korean release included a bonus track entitled "Chester". The cover art features a manipulated image from the 2005 film Sin City featuring actress Makenzie Vega as Nancy Callahan.

Holographic Universe is the third studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Scar Symmetry. It is the last album to feature vocalist Christian Älvestam, who parted ways with the band shortly after the album's completion. It was released on 20 June 2008 in Europe, and on 7 July 2008 in North America. The album peaked on the charts at 37 in Finland, and 65 in Austria. A music video for the song "Morphogenesis" premiered on 18 September. The album is rumoured to be loosely based on Michael Talbot's book The Holographic Universe.

Christian Älvestam is a vocalist, lyricist, guitarist, bassist and drummer for several bands from Sweden. He is, however, best known as the former vocalist for the Swedish melodic death metal band Scar Symmetry. He currently performs with several bands, including Solution .45, Miseration, Cipher System, Svavelvinter, Ill-Wisher, Pre-Human Vaults and has made several guest appearances for other music bands. He is most known in the metal community for possessing both an extreme clean singing range and an ability to make powerful growls.

The Fathomless Mastery is the third full-length album by Swedish death metal band Bloodbath, released on 6 October 2008 via Peaceville. Solution .45 was a melodic death metal supergroup from Sweden, formed by guitarist Jani Stefanovic. Their final lineup consisted of vocalist Christian Älvestam, guitarists Stefanovic and Patrik Gardberg, drummer Rolf Pilve, and bassist Henric Liljesand.

Miseration is a Swedish death metal band formed in 2006. Their lyrics primarily deal with themes of inner struggles and religious conflict. The band is one out of a collection of collaborations with both former Crimson Moonlight guitarist Jani Stefanovic and former Scar Symmetry vocalist Christian Älvestam; for example, both also played with Solution .45.
