Coleg Ceredigion, formerly known as Aberystwyth Technical College and later as Aberystwyth College of Further Education, is a bilingual further education college in Ceredigion, Wales. It has two campuses in the two largest towns in Ceredigion, namely Aberystwyth ( 52°24′37″N4°03′12″W / 52.4104°N 4.0532°W ) and Cardigan ( 52°05′14″N4°39′24″W / 52.0872°N 4.6567°W ). Ceredigion, historically Cardiganshire, is a county in the west of Wales. Llanbadarn Fawr is a village and community in Ceredigion, Wales. It is on the outskirts of Aberystwyth next to Penparcau and Southgate. It forms the eastern part of the continually built-up area of Aberystwyth. It holds two electoral wards, Padarn and Sulien which elect a Ceredigion County Councillor each and several Llanbadarn Fawr Community Councillors. At the 2001 census its population as a community was recorded at 2,899, increasing to 3,380 at the 2011 census.

Ynyslas Sand Dunes are sand dunes located in Ceredigion, Wales. They border Cardigan Bay and the Dyfi Estuary between Ynyslas, Ceredigion and Aberdyfi, Gwynedd. The sand dunes are part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve.
Cardigan County School is the name given to the endowed grammar school in Cardigan which was founded there in the mid seventeenth century. The Intermediate School was opened in the Cardigan Free Grammar School on 4 November 1895, and a new building was opened on 21 September 1898. It seems the school lost its county status in 1949 and was succeeded by the Cardigan Secondary School. Records of the school up to 1949 are held in the Ceredigion Archives in Aberystwyth.

The Thomas Parry Library at Aberystwyth was part of the library of the University of Wales Aberystwyth, it served the Department of Information Studies, Department of Law and Criminology and the School of Management & Business. It opened in June 1970 and closed 10 August 2018.
Coleg y Cymoedd is a further education college located at four main campuses across Rhondda Cynon Taf, and Caerphilly, Wales. Coleg y Cymoedd was formed after the merger of Coleg Morgannwg and Ystrad Mynach College in September 2013.
Blaenplwyf is a village in Ceredigion, to the southwest of Aberystwyth. It is noted for the Blaenplwyf transmitting station, which serves Aberystwyth and Cardigan Bay area. It was originally built by the BBC in 1956–7, serving as a main transmitter for BBC Band II VHF FM radio. Blaenplwyf contains a small stone and brick former Mission Church, dated to 1878, which is now a church. The Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, a yellow and brown Victorian church built by David Williams of Aberystwyth, also dates to 1878.
