History
In 1956, Sra. Poventud de Rodriguez established a small scholar building in her home to kids at her neighborhood, in Guaynabo. Instantly, more admissions for entry were received. After that, Rodriguez united forces with Sra. Acosta de Lao in 1968 and both rented a bigger building near the previous position, in Guaynabo. From there, it was established the year right before kindergarten (Pre-K) and Rosa-Bell with a start of about 230 students. Both directors decided to start a new adventure and, by kids parents' choice, begin elementary school. First grade started in 1970–1971. Because of great success, the directors decided to add a grade to the school every year, accredited by the Department of Public Instruction of Puerto Rico (DIPP). Finally, the school finished its high school in the academic year 1981–1982. The public registration increased, and they were forced to find new facilities. In 1974, they relocated to a new building, still closer to the previous spot, in the same city it is now. Since then, more facilities have been added, buildings have been remolded and improved, and better services with more classrooms have been presented.
Curriculum
Rosa Bell has a set of varied elective classes (dance, photography, sketchbook, theater, French, German, Italian, engineering, marketing, home economics, physical education, art, chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, and many more). Students have been Presidential Scholars, National Hispanic Scholars, and National Merit Scholars.
Bayamón is a city, municipality of Puerto Rico and suburb of San Juan located in the northern coastal valley, north of Aguas Buenas and Comerío; south of Toa Baja and Cataño; west of Guaynabo; and east of Toa Alta and Naranjito. The University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (UPRM) or Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez (RUM) in Spanish, is a public land-grant university in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. UPRM is the second-largest university campus of the University of Puerto Rico system. In addition to its status as a land-grant university, it is also a member of the sea-grant and space-grant research consortia. In 2009, the campus population was composed of 12,108 students, 1,924 regular staff members, and 1,037 members of the education staff. In 2013, the student population remained relatively steady at 11,838, but the instructional faculty dropped to 684. In the second semester of 2019 around 12,166 students were enrolled. By the end of the academic year 2022-2023 there were 10,071 students enrolled. UPRM has been accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) since 1946.
Academia del Perpetuo Socorro was founded in 1921 as a Catholic parochial school of the Perpetuo Socorro Parish at the Archdiocese of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The school is located in Miramar in Puerto Rico's capital city of San Juan. Students, teachers and alumni commonly refer to their school as Perpetuo.
Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, abbreviated "USC" and often called simply Sagrado, is a private Catholic university in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is one of the oldest and largest educational institutions in Puerto Rico with origins dating back to the 1880 establishment of an elementary school by the Society of the Sacred Heart.
The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music is a public conservatory in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It has hosted a number of international musicians as students as well as faculty, and has a longstanding relationship with the classical music movement in Puerto Rico, including the annual Casals Festival and the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra (PRSO).
Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola is a private, Catholic, Jesuit, all-male college-preparatory school run by the U.S. Central and Southern Province of the Society of Jesus in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The University of Puerto Rico School of Law is a law school in Puerto Rico. It is one of the professional graduate schools of University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus and the only law school in the University of Puerto Rico System. It was founded in 1913 at its present site in Río Piedras, which at the time was an independent municipality and is now part of the City of San Juan. The School of Law has been accredited by the American Bar Association since 1945 and by the Association of American Law Schools since 1948.
North County Christian School is a private Christian school in Florissant, Missouri, USA. The Justas de Atletismo y Festival Deportivo de Puerto Rico —better known as Las Justas Intercolegiales or simply as Las Justas — is an intercollegiate sports competition held annually in Puerto Rico where Puerto Rican colleges and universities compete against each other in different sports. The event is sponsored by the Liga Atlética Interuniversitaria de Puerto Rico (LAI). The event usually include competitions in softball, basketball, beach volleyball, judo, table tennis, swimming, cheerleading, women's football, and athletics.
