The Patriot League is a collegiate athletic conference comprising private institutions of higher education and two United States service academies based in the Northeastern United States. Except for the Ivy League, it is the most selective group of higher education institutions in NCAA Division I, and has a very high student-athlete graduation rate for both the NCAA graduation success rate and the federal graduation rate.

They defeated Lafayette and Holy Cross to advance to the championship game of the Patriot League tournament where they lost to Bucknell. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they lost in the first round to San Francisco.

They defeated Boston University, Bucknell, and Loyola (MD) to be champions of the Patriot League tournament. They received the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to Arkansas.

As the No. 14 seed in the Midwest Region, they lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Wisconsin.
William Henry Rayman is an American-Israeli basketball player who plays the power forward position for Saint-Quentin of the LNB Pro A, on loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv. He played college basketball for Colgate, for whom in his senior year he was Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and All-Patriot League First Team.
