Widely acknowledged as one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the sport,he holds the record for the most wickets taken by a fast bowler in Test cricket (704). Anderson was a member of the England team that won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2010. In February 2023,he became the oldest player to top the ICC men's Test bowling rankings. and is one of the few fast bowlers to play at Test match level into his forties.

Mervyn Dillon,is a former West Indian cricketer who featured as a fast bowler. He emerged at the twilight of both Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose's careers. Dillon soon became the Windies' new bowling spearhead,picking up a sum of 131 wickets in 38 test matches and 130 wickets from 108 one day internationals. Dillon was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy.

Dale Willem Steyn is a South African former professional cricketer who played for the South African cricket team. He is regarded by many as the greatest bowler of the modern era. Steyn's ability to produce late swing at high pace - a rare and lethal combination amongst fast bowlers - made him stand apart from many of his contemporaries. Many cricketing legends have regarded his length deliveries unplayable when the ball swung. During the 2007–08 season,Steyn achieved a tally of 78 wickets at an average of 16.24,and was subsequently rewarded with the ICC 2008 Test Cricketer of the Year Award. He was featured in Wisden Cricketers of the Decade at the end of 2019. He also was included in the ICC Test Team of the Decade at the end of 2020.
Mitchell Guy Johnson is a former Australian cricketer,who played all forms of the game for his national side. He is a left-arm fast bowler and left-handed batsman. He represented Australia in international cricket from 2005 to 2015. Johnson is considered to be one of the greatest fast bowlers of his era and is referred as the most lethal bowler of all time. With his time representing Australia,Johnson won multiple ICC titles with the team:the 2007 Cricket World Cup,the 2015 Cricket World Cup,the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy,and the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy.
The Sri Lankan cricket team toured New Zealand for cricket matches during the 2005–06 season. Sri Lanka were scheduled to play five one-day international games and three Test matches in the 2004–05 season,beginning their tour on 26 December 2004,but due to the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake which hit the island of Sri Lanka hard,the Sri Lankan team travelled home after the first of the One Day Internationals. The Test matches were rescheduled to April,and the remaining four ODIs were played between 31 December 2005 and 8 January 2006.

The third New Zealand bowler to take 300 Test wickets,he was one of the country's youngest cricketers,debuting at the age of 19 in February 2008. On his Test debut against England he took 5 wickets and made 77 off 40 balls in the second innings. He plays for Northern Districts in the Plunket Shield,Ford Trophy and Super Smash as well as Northland in the Hawke Cup. He was named as New Zealand's captain for the first T20I against West Indies in place of Kane Williamson,who was rested for that game. The Blackcaps won that match by 47 runs. Southee was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. Southee's Test batting strike rate of 82.68 is the third highest among batsmen with a minimum of 2000 careeer runs. He was also a part of the New Zealand squads to finish as runners-up in two Cricket World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019.
Balapuwaduge Ajantha Winslow Mendis better known as Ajantha Mendis is a Sri Lankan former international cricketer who played for Sri Lankan national cricket team in all three formats. He is also known as the "mystery spinner" due to the unusual bowling action variations. In August 2019,he retired from all forms of cricket. Mendis was a member of the Sri Lankan team that won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20.
Ranasinghe Arachchige Suranga Lakmal is a former professional Sri Lankan cricketer,who played in all formats of the game and is a former Test cricket captain. He is a right-arm fast bowler and right-handed batsman. He started his cricket life in Debarawewa National School,Tissamaharama. He was first included in the national squad for the tour of Pakistan in 2008-2009 and was reported to have been injured in the attack on the Sri Lankan team by terrorists.
In cricket,a hat-trick occurs when a bowler takes three wickets from three consecutive deliveries. The deliveries may be interrupted by an over bowled by another bowler from the other end of the pitch or the other team's innings,but must be three consecutive deliveries by the individual bowler in the same match. Only wickets attributed to the bowler count towards a hat-trick;run outs do not count,although they can contribute towards a so-called team hat-trick,which is ostensibly a normal hat-trick except that the three successive deliveries can be wickets from any bowler in the team and with any mode of dismissal.

Shardul Narendra Thakur is an Indian international cricketer who plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and has previously appeared for several Indian Premier League teams. He is a bowler who bats right-handed and bowls right arm medium pace. He was a part of the Indian squad which won the 2018 Asia Cup and the 2023 Asia Cup.
