Collage is an album by the Italian progressive rock band Le Orme. It was released in 1971. It is the first progressive-like album by the band, who had previously recorded only the beat-oriented Ad Gloriam of 1968.
The album begins with the instrumental "Collage", then continues with the sad song "Era inverno" ("It Was Winter"), a conversation between a man and a harlot. The third song, "Cemento armato" ("Reinforced Concrete"), is introduced by piano and describes the situation in the cities. "Sguardo verso il cielo" ("Glance Toward the Sky") was released as a single in 1971. "Evasione totale" is very near to experimental rock, as "Immagini" is near to psychedelic rock. "Morte di un fiore" ("Death of a Flower") concludes the album.

He wrote several books, usually of satirical character. He also acted in dramatic roles, and appeared in several movies.

Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM) is an Italian progressive rock band founded in 1970 and which continues to the present day. They were the first Italian group to have success internationally. The group recorded five albums with English lyrics between 1973 and 1977. During this period they entered both the British and American charts. They also had several successful European and American tours, playing at the popular Reading Festival in England and on a very popular national television program in the United States.

Il Rovescio della Medaglia, or RDM, were an Italian hard rock and symphonic rock band. They are most famous for their symphonic rock piece Contaminazione, released in 1973. It contained four pieces from Bach's Well-tempered Clavier seamlessly integrated with RDM's own music, which often was inspired by rock or hard rock. In 1974 the record was released in an English version, Contamination, with the group's name simplified to RDM, although still written in full on the back of the LP jacket.

The jury is composed of seven members: six full professors of history and a group of sixty (60) ordinary readers who have just one representative in the jury. The Acqui Award Prize is divided into three sections: history, popular history, and historical novels. A special prize entitled “Witness to the Times,” given to individual personalities known for their cultural contributions and who have distinguished themselves in describing historical events and contemporary society, may also be conferred. Beginning in 2003 special recognition for work in multimedia and iconography--”History through Images”—was instituted.
