Philately is the study of postage stamps and postal history. It also refers to the collection and appreciation of stamps and other philatelic products. While closely associated with stamp collecting and the study of postage, it is possible to be a philatelist without owning any stamps. For instance, the stamps being studied may be very rare or reside only in museums.
A telephone card, calling card or phone card for short, is a credit card-size plastic or paper card used to pay for telephone services. It is not necessary to have the physical card except with a stored-value system; knowledge of the access telephone number to dial and the PIN is sufficient. Standard cards which can be purchased and used without any sort of account facility give a fixed amount of credit and are discarded when used up; rechargeable cards can be topped up, or collect payment in arrears. The system for payment and the way in which the card is used to place a telephone call vary from card to card.

It has tens of millions of user-generated questions and answers, and provides a website where registered users can interact with one another.
Deltiology is the study and collection of postcards. The word originated in 1945 from the collaboration of Professor Rendell Rhoades (1914-1976) of Ohio and colleagues at Ohio State University. A biographical sketch of Dr. Rhoades life by his wife Nancy, was provided to the Canadian Friends (Quaker) Historical Association in 1994. Dr. Rhoades had responded to a contest by Editor Bob Hendricks in Post Card Collectors Magazine to create a more scholarly name for the hobby of postcard collecting. 'Philocartist' was a term used in the early 1900s, possibly coined by the noted early philatelist Fred Melville in his 1903 publication The A.B.C. of Stamp Collecting

Baseball Boss was a web based, free online MMOG baseball game published by Challenge Games. Baseball Boss is also an official licensee of Major League Baseball Advanced Media. The game combined virtual baseball card collecting and fantasy baseball simulation through head to head completion against historical teams and other online players. The game was released on July 10, 2008. Players were given cards of real baseball players from all of baseball's ages to create teams of players using their cards. Players then attempted to move up "classes," from Rookie to Hall of Fame by defeating other players' teams through simulated challenges. Players spent tickets, earned for sending challenges to other teams, to purchase new packs of cards from the Market or new cards from other users in the Auction House. Baseball Boss features two brands of cards, the "National" base brand and the "Spire" premium brand. In addition to playing against other online users, Baseball Boss allowed users to collect entire sets or a group of their favorite cards in a way that resembled virtual baseball card collecting, using "Shoeboxes".
