Community Lab School (formerly Murray High School, renamed after merging with Community Public Charter Middle School in 2020) [1] is a district-backed public charter school serving grades 6-12 located in Charlottesville, Virginia. It is a part of Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS). In August 2018, the Albemarle County School Board renewed the school's charter to provide Albemarle County families the option of a small, liberal arts school experience with elective pathways focusing on the creative arts, media, and design. [2] Admission is open to all Albemarle County residents on a lottery basis. [3] The school began offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in 2020. [4]
As an Albemarle County Public Schools charter school, Community Lab School designs and pilots evidence-based approaches to student-centered learning for possible scale to other ACPS secondary programs. [5] In 2017, it became one of twenty schools in the country to partner with MIT to develop open educational resources to help schools implement maker learning. [6] In July 2018, it became the first public school in Virginia and one of the first in the country to join the Mastery Transcript Consortium. [7] Community Lab School also works in partnership with nearby University of Virginia. [8] Community lab school gained the favor of students and parents with their system of mixing all grades together.
Community Lab School's philosophical approach is grounded in student-centered learning based on the progressive education movement that began in the late nineteenth century. Students are encouraged to pursue personal interests through the curriculum and independently. [9] The Albemarle County School Board approved the school's adoption of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at its July 11, 2019 meeting. [10]
Community Lab School added a squash team in 2018 in collaboration with University of Virginia's McArthur Squash Center. [11] Otherwise, Community Lab School students may participate in athletic offerings or extracurriculars available at the ACPS comprehensive school to which they are districted.
Since 2017, the school has added a recording studio, rapid prototyping and advanced manufacturing lab, digital media lab, additional art studio space, a bunch of trailers, and a renovated student commons and kitchen area. [12]
The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) is an educational programme for students between the ages of 11 and 16 around the world as part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum. Middle Year Programme is intended to prepare students for the two-year IB Diploma Programme.
Western Albemarle High School is a public high school located in Crozet, Virginia. Western Albemarle is often simply referred to as Western or WAHS by students and locals. The school opened in September 1977. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school went fully virtual following March 13, and it resulted in the use of Zoom platforms and online learning.

Old Mill High School is a public high school in Millersville, Maryland, serving students in grades 9 through 12. It was occupied in 1975 and is administered by Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS). The school was built to alleviate overcrowding at Arundel and Severna Park High Schools. The school has no walls or ceilings in some classrooms, only partitions to separate classrooms. Along with Annapolis High School and Meade Senior High School, Old Mill Senior High is one of the three IB World Schools in Anne Arundel County. The school building also houses the high school's two feeder schools, Old Mill Middle School North and Old Mill Middle School South. The school mascot is the patriot.
Hugh Boyd Secondary School, commonly known as Hugh Boyd or Boyd is a public, co-educational secondary school part of School District 38 Richmond (SD38), serving and educating 599 (2022–2023) students from grades 8 to 12. Hugh Boyd Secondary is the only school in Richmond that offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. The school is located on the western side of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, at 9200 No. 1 Road, stretching as far north to Francis Road and as far south to Pendleton Road. Hugh Boyd consists of the main school building, along with 3 parking lots, 2 soccer fields and an artificial turf field with 4 sections. Boyd also has 2 small extra buildings to the northwest with them being its Scout Hall and the Boyd Oval Field House. To the east, the school is conjoined with the West Richmond Community Centre with the West Richmond Pitch & Putt Golf Course being located just further east. Hugh Boyd Secondary was named after Hugh Boyd, the first reeve of the Township of Richmond.

(A)ISD was founded in 1968 as the American International School of Düsseldorf, an English language school to meet the needs of non-military expatriate families. In 1977, it became the 65th school worldwide authorized to award the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. In 1986, the school changed its name to the International School of Düsseldorf.
John Randolph Tucker High School is a public high school in the West End of Henrico County, Virginia, United States. It is named after lawyer and judge John Randolph Tucker. Its students and faculty often refer to themselves as “Tigers," and locals often refer to the school as "Tucker." The school had approximately 1,600 students and more than 150 faculty members during the 2014-15 school year. The school attracts students from across Henrico County to participate in its International Baccalaureate Programme, Advance College Academy, and Center for Spanish Language and Global Citizenship (Immersion). A new J.R. Tucker High School, similar to Glen Allen High School, was built on the location of the former athletic fields and opened for the 2021-22 school year. Downingtown STEM Academy is a public high school and an IB World School in the Downingtown Area School District, located in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. The school has a unique curriculum that prepares students for college education and careers in the STEM fields. A major focus in the courses offered at the Downingtown STEM Academy is inquiry and project-based learning, as well as the growth of 21st-century learning skills. In the ninth and tenth grades, students take "pre-diploma" classes that prepare them for classes in the International Baccalaureate program. In the eleventh and twelfth grades, students take six classes in the International Baccalaureate and have the opportunity to participate in the IB Diploma Programme.

Green Run Collegiate High School, established 2013, is a charter school operating in Virginia Beach City Public Schools district located at 1700 Dahlia Drive of the Green Run area of suburban Virginia Beach, Virginia. It offers the International Baccalaureate. Although they are located in the same building as Green Run High School they are two separate schools. The mission of the school is to prepare students for success in a global society with attending college and joining the workforce or serving the nation with the military.
