George Ian Murray is a former Australian cricketer who played a single match for Western Australia during the 1964–65 season. Born in South Perth,Western Australia,Murray's sole match at first-class level came in November 1964,in a Sheffield Shield match against Victoria at the WACA Ground in Perth. The match,which was the first of the season,ended in a draw after four days. Murray,who bowled right-arm fast-medium but batted left-handed,opened the bowling with Laurie Mayne in both innings. He took only one wicket in Victoria's innings,dismissing Ray Jordon,but finished with figures of 2/44 in the second innings. Murray did not play at state level again,with Western Australia's fast bowling stocks already including Mayne,Garth McKenzie,Des Hoare,and Jim Hubble,amongst others.
Stephen Alexander "Steve" Jones is a former Australian cricketer who played a single first-class match for Western Australia during the 1975–76 season.
Kenneth Edward Lilly is a former Australian cricketer. From Perth,Lilly played several matches for the state colts team from the early 1980s onwards,but did not make his debut at senior level until the 1988–89 season,when he was aged 29. A right-arm fast bowler,he played two Sheffield Shield matches late in the season,as well as a single match in the limited-overs FA Insurance Cup. Lilly made his first-class debut against Victoria in January 1989 at the WACA Ground,taking 3/72 in the first innings and four wickets for the match. His second first-class match came against New South Wales the following month. He took two wickets in the match,but finished with an economy rate of 5.48 from his 21 overs,failing to bowl a maiden. Lilly's only one-day game at state level came between his two Sheffield Shield matches. He took 1/19 from five overs,helping to dismiss Tasmania for 121 runs. Lilly did not play at state level again,with Western Australia's fast-bowling stocks including several Australian internationals,notably Terry Alderman,Ken MacLeay,Chris Matthews,and Bruce Reid. However,he remained active at grade cricket level,and later coached North Perth,where he was involved in the establishment of a trophy commemorating former state player Mark McPhee.
Christopher David Mack is a former Australian cricketer who played several matches for Western Australia during the early 1990s. From Perth,Mack played two series for the Australian under-19 cricket team,and made his state debut aged 19. A right-arm fast bowler,he went on to attend the Australian Cricket Academy and the Western Australian Institute of Sport. Mack was a regular selection at both first-class and List A during the 1989–90 and 1990–91 seasons. Although he later spent a season playing in the Lancashire League in England,he did not play at state level again,with his last match for Western Australia coming at the age of 21.
Ashton Charles Agar is an Australian cricketer who plays all forms of the game at international level. Agar plays domestically for Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers. A left-handed spin bowler,he played two Test matches for the Australian national side during the 2013 Ashes series.
Raymond Bernard Strauss was an Australian sportsman who played both cricket and field hockey at high levels. From Perth,Western Australia,Strauss attended Perth Modern School and later the University of Western Australia,playing for the university's hockey club. Twice named captain of the all-Australian universities side,he was captain of the side on several occasions,including when the team shared the 1952 Syme Cup with the University of Adelaide. Strauss represented Western Australia on various occasions from 1949 to 1955,and made his Test debut for the Australian national team in August 1954,against New Zealand,though it is unclear if he played further matches for the national side. At both club and state levels,he had largely played as a defender,usually as a fullback,and was known for his "interceptions and long clearances".
