AllMusic gave the album a rating of four stars. Reviewer Greg Adams wrote that Conniff's "pop-oriented adaptations" of classical music "achieved perhaps his purest blend of voices and instruments, particularly on 'Theme From Swan Lake Ballet.'" [2]
