The Cook Islands national cricket team is the team that represents the Cook Islands - an island country in a free association with New Zealand - in international cricket matches. The team is organised by the Cook Islands Cricket Association, which became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2000 and an associate member when all affiliate members were promoted to that status in 2017.
On behalf of the Cook Islands the Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee sent a team to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, marking its sixth consecutive appearance at the Olympics since its debut in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. The country sent four athletes to the Games across three sports and four distinct events. No athlete of the Cook Islander delegation progressed past the first rounds in their events and did not go on to win medals. Pera was the nation's flag bearer at the ceremonies.
The Cook Islands national rugby sevens team represents the Cook Islands in rugby sevens internationally. They have participated in two Rugby World Cup Sevens tournaments, in 1997 and 2001, and have also competed at the Commonwealth Games on four occasions. They qualified for the 2014 Hong Kong Sevens tournament and played in the World Series Qualifiers.
The 2009 Pacific Mini Games was held in the Cook Islands from 21 September to 2 October. It was the 8th edition of the Pacific Mini Games.
Netball in Oceania is generally regarded as a woman's sport. Women's sports in Oceania have traditionally had a very low profile. Papua New Guinea defeated Samoa in the finals of both the men's and women's tournament by 8–7 and 6–2, respectively to claim two of the three gold medals for touch rugby. Samoa turned the tables to claim the gold medal in the mixed tournament, defeating Papua New Guinea by 9–7 in the final. The Cook Islands won all three bronze medals.

The hosts Papua New Guinea won the gold medal defeating Samoa by 8–7 in the final. The Cook Islands took the bronze medal defeating the Solomon Islands by 18–4 in the third place play-off.

The hosts Papua New Guinea won the gold medal defeating Samoa by 6–2 in the final. The Cook Islands took the bronze medal defeating Kiribati by 11–2 in the third place play-off.
The Mixed touch rugby tournament at the 2015 Pacific Games was held in Port Moresby from 8 to 10 July 2015 at the Bisini Touch Football Fields. Samoa won the gold medal, defeating hosts Papua New Guinea by 9–7 in the final. Tonga took the bronze medal defeating the Cook Islands by 10–3 in the third place play-off.

Sailing at the Pacific Games was first contested when the sport was added for the 1969 games at Port Moresby. It has also been included at several of the Pacific Mini Games, starting with the fifth edition held in American Samoa in 1997.
Sailing at the 2019 Pacific Games was held in Samoa from 9–19 July on the Mulifanua sailing course at the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort at Mulifanua which is approximately 40 kilometres west of the capital, Apia. The competition schedule included men's, women's and team events. The equipment classes used were the Laser and Laser Radial dinghies, plus the Hobie 16 catamaran.
Cook Islands competed at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa from 7 to 20 July 2019. The country participated in 15 sports at the 2019 games.
