Cornelius Jansen (Neels) Bornman (born 5 February 1942) is a South African sports shooter. He was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa and attended Grey College from 1942 to 1960. He competed in the Olympic Trap event at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, becoming the only South African to have represented South Africa in all three Olympic Clay Target Shooting disciplines, Olympic Skeet, Olympic Trap and Olympic Double Trap. He first represented South Africa in 1974 and his last appearance was in 2008, a span of 34 years. He died on 7 October 2021. His CTSASA number was 107. He will be remembered as an absolute legend. Corneliu Ion is a Romanian retired shooter who specialized in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol event. He competed at the 1976, 1980, 1984 and 1988 Olympics and won a gold medal in 1980 and a silver in 1984, placing fifth in 1976. In 1984 he served as the flag bearer for Romania at the opening ceremony. In 1975 he set a team world record at 2370 points and in 1977 equaled the individual world record at 598 points.
The United Arab Emirates participated at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, which were held from 8 to 24 August 2008. The country's participation at the Beijing Olympics marked its seventh appearance in the Summer Olympics since its début at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The delegation sent by the United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee consisted of eight athletes in seven sports: athletics, equestrian, judo, sailing, shooting, swimming and taekwondo. Two of the eight athletes were women, making Beijing the first time the country had sent female athletes to a Summer Olympiad, and most of their athletes qualified for the Games by using a wild card or receiving an invitation from the Tripartite Commission. The country did not win any medals at the Games; the best performance of the delegation was from sport shooter Ahmad Al-Makotum, who placed seventh in the qualification round of the men's double trap and lost a subsequent four-man shoot-out.

Davis is also a member of Centurion Gun Club in Pretoria, and is coached and trained by his father Frank Davis.

He has won several age group Australian and Oceanian championship titles in double trap shooting, and also had a golden opportunity to represent Australia at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Turner is also a member of Cessnock Clay Target Shooting Range and the Australian Clay Target Shooting Association, where he trains full-time under head coach Greg Chan.
