In March 2016, Lil Pump released his first single, "Elementary". His first single to hit the Billboard Hot 100 was "Gucci Gang", debuting at number 81 and later peaked at number 3 on the chart. Emanuel Herrera Batista, known by his stage name El Alfa or El Alfa El Jefe, is a Dominican rapper, known as the King of Dembow. Batista was born in Bajos de Haina, Santo Domingo. He is known for his sensual voice and initial afro hairstyle which led him to popularity in the early 2010s through songs like "Tarzan", "Coche Bomba" and "Muevete Jevi". He went on to form good relationships with many artists from Puerto Rico, such as Nicky Jam, Farruko, and Myke Towers amongst others. This resulted in one of the biggest collaborations in dembow history, led by El Alfa, when he released "Suave (Remix)" in December 2018 alongside Chencho Corleone, Bryant Myers, Miky Woodz, Jon Z and Noriel.

Afrodisíaco (transl.Aphrodisiac) is the debut studio album by Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro. It was released on November 13, 2020, by Sony Music Latin and Duars Entertainment. After releasing several projects including a mixtape, an extended play, and many singles since 2016, Alejandro finally announced recording his debut studio album in early 2020. He worked with several producers, including Caleb Calloway, Mr. Naisgai, Dímelo Flow, Eydren, and Tainy to create the album. Musically, Afrodisíaco consists of traditional reggaeton tracks, Latin trap songs, R&B numbers, electronic elements, and perreo rhythms. After his sophomore album's release, Alejandro embarked on the Rauw Alejandro World Tour in 2021 to promote both albums.

<i>Legendaddy</i> (album) 2022 studio album by Daddy Yankee

Legendaddy is the seventh studio album by Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee, released on March 24, 2022 by El Cartel Records, Universal Music Group and Republic Records. Published 10 years after his previous studio album, Legendaddy is Daddy Yankee's last record, as he announced that he would retire from music after the end of his farewell concert tour, La Última Vuelta, in 2023. He decided to retire while working on the album, as he felt accomplished and wanted to enjoy everything he had achieved with his career. It is his first and only album released directly under Universal, rather than its Latin division, after signing a multimillionaire global distribution deal in 2020.

It was released on March 24, 2022 simultaneously with Daddy Yankee's eighth and final studio album, Legendaddy, among various other singles from the record. It was accompanied by a music video directed by Venezuelan director Daniel Durán. "Lala" is a song by Puerto Rican rapper and singer Myke Towers. It was released on March 23, 2023, and later as a single on July 27, 2023 through One World, Warner Latina and Warner Records, as track 22 from his third studio album La Vida Es Una. The song achieved commercial success in July 2023, several months after its first release as an album track.
