Corrine Claire Hall, OBE (born 20 February 1991) is an English cyclist. She represented Great Britain in the 2016 Rio Paralympics as a sighted pilot for British cycling Paralympian, Lora Fachie with whom she was paired in 2013. [2]

Early life and education

Hall is from Mitcham, South London. [3] She attended Esher College. She went on to study Sports Science at St Mary's University, Twickenham. [4]

2016 Summer Paralympics

On 11 September 2016, Hall and Fachie won a gold medal in Rio de Janeiro at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, in the Women's individual pursuit B. [5]

Hall was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours and Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2022 Birthday Honours for services to cycling. [6]

A six time Paralympic gold medalist, she has won gold in her specialist event - the 100 metres backstroke - for both Ireland at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and Great Britain at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics. These were in addition to the Mixed 4 x 100 metres freestyle relay S14 at the 2020 Games, and 200 metres medley and 200 metres freestyle for Great Britain at the 2016 Games, where she was the nation's most successful Paralympian with three golds and a silver medal. Neil Michael Fachie is a Scottish cyclist and former track athlete, competing in events for people with a visual impairment. Fachie has competed in two Paralympics, as a sprinter in the 2008 Games in Beijing and as a tandem cyclist in London 2012. In London he won the gold medal in the Men's individual 1 km time trial and silver in the individual sprint, both with Barney Storey as his sighted pilot. Outside of the Paralympic Games, Fachie is a nineteen-time world champion and 5 times Commonwealth Games champion, creating tandem partnerships with Barney Storey, Pete Mitchell, and Olympians Craig MacLean and Matt Rotherham.

Karen Darke,, FRSGS is a British paralympic cyclist, paratriathlete, adventurer and author. She competed at the 2016 Rio Paralympics winning Gold in the Women's road time trial, following her success in the 2012 London Paralympics winning a silver medal in the Women's road time trial H1-2.

Helen Sarah Scott, is an English sprint cyclist. As well as competing as part of the Great Britain team Scott is also an able-bodied tandem cyclist, who since 2011 has acted as pilot for Paralympian Aileen McGlynn, Sophie Thornhill and Alison Patrick.

Sophie Thornhill, is a visually impaired English former racing cyclist who competed in para-cycling tandem track events. She is a double world champion, with pilot Rachel James, and a double Commonwealth gold medallist, with pilot Helen Scott, in the tandem sprint and 1 km time trial events. In April 2014, she set world records in the tandem sprint and 1 km time trial, piloted by James. She retired from competition in 2020.

Jeanette Clare Chippington, is a British Paralympic swimmer and paracanoeist. Chippington has represented Great Britain at seven Paralympics, five in swimming Summer Paralympics, 1988 Seoul, 1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004. Competing as a S6 classification swimmer she favoured mainly 50 m and 100m freestyle competitions. After retiring from swimming Chippington returned to disability sport, becoming a world class paracanoeist, winning gold at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and bronze at 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

The pair won gold in the men's individual pursuit B and men's road time trial B, and bronze in the men's road race B.

Benjamin Michael Watson is a British para cyclist competing in road, time trial and track cycling events in the C3 category.

Matthew Rotherham is a British male track cyclist. Following a career as an elite abled bodied cyclist, he transferred to Paralympic track cycling as a sighted pilot in the visually impaired (B) classification. In 2021, he piloted Neil Fachie to Paralympic gold in the men's track time trial B classification. The pair are also Commonwealth Games champions in 2018, and five-time World champions in the discipline.

Sophie Beth Unwin is an English racing cyclist who competes in para-cycling tandem road and track events as a visually impaired athlete. She made her first Paralympic appearance representing Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Paralympics and was again selected for the British team in 2024.
