Corrupt Leaders is a Canadian grindcore/crust band that formed in April 2013.

They released two 7-inch EPs through Moshpit Tragedy Records (Phobia, Extreme Noise Terror, Doom, etc.) and one 7-inch on Give Praise Records.

In early 2015, Corrupt Leaders released the four-song "Grindmother" EP, [1] which features a guest vocal from frontman Rain Forest's 66-year-old mother. [2] [3] A video of the recording session went viral, and in April 2016, Grindmother released her own album "Age of Destruction", featuring music by Rain Forest and Tyson Apex.

In 2015 Corrupt Leaders appeared at Obscene Extreme America and Maryland Deathfest 2015. The band has been quiet since then; its website and social media accounts are defunct. [4]

Pungent Stench achieved early on prominence in the death metal scene due to their unique style of extreme metal and their controversial lyrical content, a seamless blend of gore, paraphilia and black comedy. The festival is held in Baltimore, Maryland during Memorial Day weekend, and it features many bands from around the world that vary from a wide range of heavy metal subgenres. Moshpit Tragedy Records was a Canadian independent record label founded in Windsor, Ontario in 2006. The label specializes releases punk, metal and some of their subgenres. In 2007, they became the first record label to abandon physical releases in favor of a fully "sliding-scale" or "pay what you want" download model. The label has not been active since early 2013.

Extreme Smoke 57 are known as the first grindcore band from Slovenia. The band was formed in early 1990 in the city of Nova Gorica. Their influences include bands such as Napalm Death, Sore Throat, Fear of God, Seven Minutes of Nausea and Agathocles. Band members have played in different grindcore/noisecore/crust/drone/hardcore acts like Patareni, Deeper Than World, Cadlag, PureH, Mozak, Panic Overdose, Absent Minded, Ear Slaughter, Diarrhoea, Strobodeath and Psihoza. Extreme Smoke 57 split in 1992, but reformed in 2008. Since their reunion the band has performed on some well-known European music festivals such as Metaldays, Obscene Extreme, EXIT and Punk Rock holiday. In January 2016 "Corruption deteriorates" was released by band itself. In July 2017 their latest studio material was released as a split 7-inch EP with Belgian grindcore veterans Agathocles. In March 2018 a compilation CD that includes studio recordings from 1991 to 2018 was released on Independent Woman records from New Zealand. The compilation comes with bonus mini CD that includes their final show before split in 1992.

Since its inception the band has toured Europe and North America multiple times, Puerto Rico, Japan, and South East Asia, along with Exhumed, Despise You, Misery Index, Unholy Grave, Phobia and Rotten Sound.
