WWE Studios Inc. is an American film studio owned by the professional wrestling promotion WWE, a division of TKO Group Holdings, a wholly owned subsidiary of Endeavor Group Holdings. WWE Studios movies frequently mix well-known actors and actresses in lead roles with WWE wrestlers, and teams with existing production and distribution companies resulting in lower cost for both parties.

The 2010 Night of Champions was the fourth annual Night of Champions professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event took place on September 19, 2010, at the Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois. It was the final Night of Champions held during the first brand split, which ended in August 2011, but was reinstated in July 2016. The concept of the show was that every championship in the company at the time was defended. It was also the first Night of Champions event to feature a non-title match, where Big Show defeated CM Punk.
The 2012 No Way Out was the 12th and final No Way Out professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It took place on June 17, 2012, at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It was the first No Way Out held since 2009 and replaced Capitol Punishment for the June 2012 PPV slot, thus being the only No Way Out event held in June as all previous ones were held in February. Following this event, however, No Way Out was again discontinued and replaced by Payback in 2013.

This was also the last Survivor Series event to be held before the reintroduction of the brand extension in July 2016, and the final Survivor Series event until the 2022 event to not carry the brand supremacy theme.

It was held exclusively for wrestlers from the promotion's SmackDown brand division. The event took place on September 11, 2016, at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. It was the first Backlash held since the 2009 event, subsequently making it the first to livestream on WWE's online streaming service, the WWE Network, which launched in 2014, and it was the only Backlash to be held in September. Following the reintroduction of the brand extension in July 2016, Backlash was the first brand-exclusive PPV of the second brand split and was the first brand-exclusive PPV held since No Way Out in 2007. The original concept of Backlash was based on the backlash of WrestleMania, however, the 2016 event dropped this theme as it was instead held after that year's SummerSlam—the post-WrestleMania theme would return with the 2021 event.

It was held exclusively for wrestlers from the promotion's SmackDown brand division. The event took place on October 9, 2016, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. It was the first No Mercy held since 2008 and it was also the first SmackDown-exclusive No Mercy since 2006. This also made it the first No Mercy to livestream on WWE's online streaming service, the WWE Network, which launched in 2014. Unlike the majority of WWE's PPVs, No Mercy 2016 was not released on DVD or Blu-Ray.

It was held exclusively for wresters from the promotion's SmackDown brand division. The event took place on March 11, 2018, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The 2018 event was the final SmackDown-exclusive pay-per-view and subsequently the final brand-exclusive pay-per-view under the second brand split as following WrestleMania 34 in April, WWE discontinued brand-exclusive PPVs.
