Craig Newbold (born July 31,1948) is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 1st district,serving one term from 2011 to 2013.
A native of East Liverpool,Ohio,he later went forth to become an executive in the software development industry,where he ultimately started a business in Seattle,Washington. Following his retirement from this industry,he opted to return to his native Columbiana County,Ohio.
Newbold later went forth to establish a not-for-profit information technology training program which allows individuals to develop specific skills in the industry. [1]
In 2010,Newbold opted to run against Representative Linda Bolon who was opting to take her third term in the Ohio House of Representatives. While Bolon was initially strongly favored and not expected to face significant opposition,Newbold began to gain ground,notably due to a strong anti-incumbent sentiment. In an upset,he would go on to win the election,with 52.58% of the electorate. [2]
On January 3,2011,Newbold was sworn into his first term. He served on the committees of Commerce,Labor and Technology (as vice chair);Education;and Finance and Appropriations and the Higher Education Subcommittee.
In 2012,Newbold lost reelection to a second term to Nick Barborak,51% to 49%.

Nick Barborak is a former Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 5th district. Before his election he was Treasurer of Columbiana County,a position he was first appointed to in 2007 after the incumbent was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives. He was subsequently elected to a full term. In November 2011 Barborak announced he would run for the House seat against incumbent Republican Craig Newbold. He defeated Newbold in the election with 50.57% of the vote. Barborak lost re-election in 2014 to Tim Ginter.

Hearcel F. Craig is an American politician serving as the Senator for the 15th District of the Ohio State Senate. Craig formerly served in the United States Army and then had a career with the Ohio Department of Youth Services. He then went on to help develop City Year in Columbus. He has a degree from Central Michigan University. In 2007,Craig was appointed to serve on Columbus City Council. While on Council,Craig rose to serve as President Pro Tempore.
Kyle Koehler is the Representative for the 79th district of the Ohio House of Representatives. Koehler was born and raised in Springfield,Ohio,attended Springfield's Catholic Central High School and then Wright State University. He and his family own a small business in Springfield. In 2014,Koehler opted to make his first run for elected office,and decided to run for the Ohio House of Representatives to replace Ross McGregor who was term-limited. He faced Democrat Darryl Jackson in a competitive seat. Koehler went on to defeat Jackson 61%-39%.
