Credell Calhoun (born May 20, 1943) is an American businessman and Democratic Party politician who has served in the Mississippi House of Representatives. He served as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 68th District from 2003 to 2020. [1] [2] Calhoun decided not to run for reelection in 2019. [3] He is a Democrat.

Calhoun was elected in 1978 from the 68th District.
He received a B.S. degree from Prairie View A&M in Texas and continued his education at Jackson State University. He served as an administrative assistant to the mayor of Jackson, was an auditor for the Governor’s Office Job Development Training, and has been a counselor. He is in the Elks, Masons, Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Hinds County Mental Health Association, and Mississippi Boy Scouts council. [5]
