Cristian Vogel (born 1972) is a Chilean-born experimental electronic musician and producer.
Vogel was born in Chile and moved to England in the early 1980s with his family, fleeing from the government of Augusto Pinochet. [1]
He began working with electronic compositions in the late 1980s with the Cabbage Head Collective (working with Si Begg, among others). He attended the University of Sussex and graduated with a degree in modern music there, suffusing his techno compositions with influences from musique concrete and other avant-garde styles. [1]
In the early 1990s, Vogel began working with Dave Clarke, and issued several EPs on Clarke's Magnetic North Records label, the first of which was the underground success, Infra. [1] After some collaborations with Russ Gabriel, Vogel released his debut full-length, Beginning to Understand, in 1994 on Mille Plateaux, and began releasing music regularly after this on Tresor Records. He also started two labels of his own, Mosquito and Quinine, on which he releases both his own music and other artists'.
Alongside Jamie Lidell, he formed the group Super Collider in 1998, which released two albums. In the early 2000s, Vogel moved to Barcelona, where he set up the Erutufon 5 studio.
In recent years,[ when? ] he has started a number of other record labels: Rise Robots Rise (now defunct), Sleep Debt, and Station 55 (also the name of his studio). [1] [2] Whilst these record labels are primarily a vehicle to release his own work, they have also released records for other artists.
He sang and played guitar in the band Night of the Brain, based in Barcelona. [3] Vogel has also done remixes for Radiohead, Maxïmo Park, Chicks on Speed, and Fujiya & Miyagi. As of 2021, he is based in Copenhagen. [4]

Alec Empire is a German experimental electronic musician who is best known as a founding member of the band Atari Teenage Riot, as well as a solo artist, producer and DJ. Novamute Records is the electronic dance music subsidiary of Mute Records, which was started in 1992. The label's staff included Mick Paterson (promotions), Pepe Jansz (A&R), and producer Seth Hodder, and it was originally set up to give UK releases to white label 12-inch singles and imports. In the United States it was distributed by Tommy Boy Records while the Mute parent label was distributed by Elektra Records.
Berndt Andreas Tilliander is a Swedish electronica, drone and techno producer who significantly contributed to the evolution of the 'clicks & cuts' genre with his first albums Cliphop (Raster.Noton) and Ljud. He has recorded music under many names and worked with some of Europe's influential electronic music labels. He has been awarded a Swedish Grammy music award in 2005, after two consecutive nominations. He also works with Familjen as a live musician. Thomas Köner is a multimedia artist whose main interest lies in combining visual and auditory experiences. The BBC, in a review of Köner's work in 1997, calls him a "media artist," one who works between installation, sound art, ambient music and as one half of Porter Ricks dub techno. A noted characteristics of Köner's dark ambient style are low drones and static soundscapes evocative of desolate, Arctic places.
Oval is an electronic music group founded in Germany in 1991 by Markus Popp, Sebastian Oschatz, Frank Metzger and Holger Lindmüller. The group pioneered glitch music, writing on CDs to damage them and produce music with the resulting fragments. The project has been a solo venture by Popp since the departure of other members in 1995.

Terre Thaemlitz is a musician, composer, owner of the record label Comatonse Recordings, and a public speaker. Tim Wright has been active as a musician and composer since the early 1990s, working predominantly at the experimental end of the spectrum of electronica and dance music. Besides his birth name, Wright has worked under various names, most notably Germ. He also worked under the name Tube Jerk, a solo project. Gas is the main musical project of German electronic musician and composer Wolfgang Voigt. The project was created as an expressive medium inspired by his experiences with taking LSD in the Königsforst, a German forest situated near his hometown of Cologne, for long periods in his youth. Robert Babicz is a Polish-born music producer, mastering engineer and live performer living in Malta. With a career spanning nearly three decades covering genres from techno to acid house to minimal, Robert has also been known under the pseudonyms Rob Acid, Acid Warrior, Department of Dance and Sontec amongst many others. He has released a number of well respected records on labels such as Kompakt, Systematic Recordings, Treibstoff, Bedrock, Intec Digital and Steve Bug's Audiomatique, as well his own labels, Junkfood, Babiczstyle and Dirtcut. He is well known as a live performer rather than a DJ, as he uses synths and live equipment and improvises in every set he plays.
Ross Andrew McLean is an English recording artist and record producer, whose first release came from Brighton-based record label, Tru Thoughts in 2003. The Saltwater EP was followed later by Out Of Luck, a second EP, released on the New York City-based record label, Bastard Jazz. His tracks and remixes have been licensed to various music compilations, TV programs and computer games, such as FIFA Street 3. He later went on to create an album of music for film under the artist name "The Lawless". The album Habit Forming was released in November 2011 by the German record label, Mille Plateaux.
