The Senate of Virginia is the upper house of the Virginia General Assembly. The Senate is composed of 40 senators representing an equal number of single-member constituent districts. The Senate is presided over by the lieutenant governor of Virginia. He is a former U.S. Marine Corps sergeant who enlisted two weeks following the September 11th terrorist attacks. Mukherji serves as Chairman of the Assembly Judiciary Committee and Vice Chairman of the Assembly Appropriations Committee. He previously served as Vice Chair of the Assembly Telecommunications and Utilities Committee.
Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is a Nigerian politician he was the Minister of Transportation up on till May 16th 2022, when he resigned to contest for Nigeria's presidency under the ruling APC All Progressive Congress Party. He served under the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari as a Minister of Transportation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He previously served in oil-rich Rivers State as Governor of Rivers State from 2007 to 2015 and Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2007. On 9 April 2022, Amaechi declared interest to contest in the Presidential election in 2023.
