Cullompton Community College is a coeducational foundation secondary school located in Cullompton in the county of Devon. [1]
First established in 1872, the school relocated to its current site in 1964, [2] and became fully comprehensive in 1979. In December 2003 it secured sponsorship of £50,000 from The Co-operative Group to enable it to become a Business and Enterprise College. As a foundation school, Cullompton Community College is administered by Devon County Council, [3] which coordinates the schools admissions.
Cullompton Community College offers GCSEs and OCR Nationals as programmes of study for pupils, as well as vocational learning in Animal Care and Land based Learning, Hair and Beauty, Motor Vehicle and Construction. [4]
Cullompton is a town and civil parish in the district of Mid Devon and the county of Devon, England. It is 13 miles (21 km) north-east of Exeter and lies on the River Culm. In 2011 the parish as a whole had a population of 8,499 while the built-up area of the town had a population of 7,439.
Plymtree is a small village and civil parish about 3.5 miles south of the town of Cullompton in the county of Devon, England. The parish is surrounded, clockwise from the north, by the parishes of Broadhembury, Payhembury, Clyst Hydon and Cullompton. In 2001 it had a population of 605, compared to 359 in 1901. Willand is a village and civil parish in Mid Devon, England. It is about 19 km (12 mi) north of Exeter and 2.4 km (1.5 mi) north of Cullompton. In 1991 the population was 3750 although recently this has grown considerably. The National Grid reference for the centre of the area is ST037110. Willand is a major part of Lower Culm electoral ward. The ward population at the 2011 Census was 5,808. The parish is surrounded, clockwise from the north, by the parishes of Halberton, Uffculme and Cullompton.
