Culmore Youth Football Club was founded in 1995 and reformed in 2019. They play at an open council playing pitch near Culmore Point, Derry, in the North of Ireland and Muff, in the South of Ireland. The club chairman is Ben Dooher, who was recently nominated for the Irish Football Association McDonald's Grassroots Football People's Award as a finalist, for his contribution to the club and its local community. [1]

In 2022 the club was at risk of its home pitch being sold as it was being leased from the Derry City and Strabane District Council. In the end they managed to keep their pitch. [2] They are now petitioning for new multi-sports facilities in Culmore which will help the children of the community to further enhance their sports skills.

Leagues, cups and teams

Culmore YFC play in the Derry and District League, D&D League Cups, Foyle Cup and the NIBFA National League etc. [3]
