Lamar County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas, in the Northeast Texas region. As of the 2020 census, its population was 50,088. Its county seat is Paris. The county was formed by the Congress of the Republic of Texas on December 17, 1840, and organized the next year. It is named for Mirabeau B. Lamar, the second president of the Republic of Texas. Lamar County comprises the Paris, TX micropolitan statistical area.

Cooper Lake State Park is a Texas State Park in Delta and Hopkins counties, about three miles (5 km) south of Cooper, Texas. The park is situated on Jim Chapman Lake, formerly known as Cooper Lake. There are actually two geographically separate units; the Doctors Creek unit 33°20′54″N95°40′08″W is located on the north side of the lake, in Delta County, while the South Sulphur unit 33°17′49″N95°39′35″W is located on the south side of the lake, in Hopkins County.
The Sam Bell Maxey House is a historic house in Paris, Lamar County, Texas. Samuel Bell Maxey, a prominent local attorney and later two-term U.S. senator, built the large two-story house after serving as a major general in the Confederate Army. It is built in the High Victorian Italianate style.
The Inkpot is a 90-foot-deep (27 m) sinkhole located at the Salt Creek Wilderness Area north of Roswell, New Mexico. This geological formation can be found at the foot of the scenic Red Bluffs protected area. It is light green in color, and features a hidden cave leading to the water. It is home to great horned owls, barn owls, and the Pecos pupfish.

A split intersection is a rarely built at-grade variant of the diamond interchange. Compared to a conventional four-leg intersection or road crossing, the arterial road is split into separate carriageways by 200 to 300 feet, allowing a queue of left turning vehicles behind a completed turn into the crossroad without any conflict to oncoming traffic. On the crossroad, the four leg intersection is being replaced by two intersections. The beginning one-way traffic at the fourth leg makes the intersections reduce the number of conflicts similar to a three leg T-intersection to improve traffic flow.

Turkey Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is a tributary to the Oconee River. The stream headwaters arise just west of Jeffersonville at 32°41′19″N83°21′27″W at an elevation of 480 feet. The stream flows southeast to enter the Oconee at Turkey Creek Landing approximately six miles southeast of Dublin at 32°25′35″N82°49′45″W and an elevation of 150 feet.
