The Cycling at the 1977 SEA Games were held at Kuching Street, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Cycling events was held between 20 November to 23 November. [1] [2]

She then represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 1965 pageant in Miami, Florida.

The Pre-Olympic tournaments of the Asian Qualifiers for the 1984 Summer Olympic were held from 12 August 1983 to 29 April 1984. Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Qatar qualified.

Miss Malaya 1954, was held on 28 June 1954 at the Capitol Theatre, Singapore. 21 candidates from across Malaya and Singapore and 3 candidates from Sarawak participated in this year's competition. Most of the candidates were nominated by various organisations such as Qantas Boac, Fortune Advertising Ltd., Robinson and Co. Ltd., Malayan Airways, Shewan Tomes and more but individual entries were also welcomed to compete in the pageant. The prizes of the pageant were a free trip to America, a trip to Hong Kong, and a trip either to Penang or Singapore.

Miss Malaysia 1967, the 4th edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia, was held on 2 July 1967 at the Asrama Perak, Tambun, Ipoh, Perak. Monkam Siprasome of Kedah was crowned by the consort of the Sultan of Perak, Che Puan Negara Raja Muzwin Raja Arif Shah at the end of the event. She then represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 1967 pageant in Miami, Florida.

The 1976 Sabah state election was held between Monday, 5 April and Saturday, 14 April 1976. This was the third state election to take place, and the first to feature opposition candidates since the first election on 1967, as the second state election on 1971 has all government candidates won uncontested. The state assembly were dissolved on 23 January 1976, and the nomination day was on 18 March 1976.
